[From the day you arrived on the planet, and blinking, stepped into the sun. There's more to see than can ever be seen, and more to do than can ever be done. Yet, still, the whole thing seems...monotonous. Surely there must be some excitement, some showmanship, some sort of plot twist that could keep this show moving onward?

[...well that is probably incredibly strange- D-ne doesn't seem to register anything wrong, but for Natalie it's likely akin to someone hitting the mute button temporarily. Her mouth moved but no sound came out at all.]

[that sure was a thing. she pauses.]

[yeah she has no idea anything went strange]

[yeah this is a no-go, she tries to say it a little slower but it's like someone just censored out the word]

No, I mean... You moved your mouth but no sound came out?

[She nods, looking somehow focused.]

○○ Prefecture. ...I...heard it just fine, but did it still...?

Yeah... Maybe try writing it down?

[This is weird.]

[She turns to a blank page of her clipboard and writes, but uh. Even if Natalie watches the way D-ne's hand moves and she can probably see it's not making two circles, ○○ Prefecture is all that shows up!]

...And you can read that just fine?

[She nods.]

It looks just like a normal word to me.

That's so weird.

[She hesitates.]

When I say I'm from Washington, can you understand that?

[Another nod. Best repeat it back-]

You said Washington. You heard that?

...You really don't have any idea why this might be happening?

[She thinks for a moment, tries to think of any reason it could be happening but]

None at all. I can only think that it's, ah...something this place is responsible for...? But why not both of us in that case?
