[From the day you arrived on the planet, and blinking, stepped into the sun. There's more to see than can ever be seen, and more to do than can ever be done. Yet, still, the whole thing seems...monotonous. Surely there must be some excitement, some showmanship, some sort of plot twist that could keep this show moving onward?

[Raoul's expression softens.] I am sorry to hear that. What happened?

That's the thing... I don't know. I hadn't seen her- ah, a doll from my youth that means a lot to me, in some time, but last I knew she was...well, she wasn't looking like she did when Pirate King-san received her.

[A doll? Ah...to ladies, and to girls, dolls can be precious items, this Raoul knows. He shakes his head.]

I am truly sorry to hear that she is broken. Do you think there is any way she can be fixed?

She... She wasn't just broken, she was desecrated. Cut open and filled with rice and stabbed. [An expression crosses her face like she's tasted something foul.] Someone was doing something horrible with her.

[Wh...that's...incredibly strange, and somewhat fucked up. Who does that to a doll? What do they expect to do, other than make the owner upset?]

It...certainly sounds like they were, but exactly what is not something I can deduce.

It... Hm. [She seems a little uncomfortable with sharing this and shakes her head.] P-perhaps I'll leave the booth to the rest of you, in light of that. I'm a little worried about what I'll find now.

I certainly don't blame you for feeling that way. However, if something...nicer were to come out of it for me, and I did not want it, would you be willing to see if it was something you wanted?

Ah... You are very kind, Raoul-san. Yes, I... I think that would be wonderful. Hime-san, after all, did retrieve something else I was missing. [She gently touches the red ribbon in her hair.] So...maybe I'm being too cynical.

The item you were missing was in the merchandise booth?

[She nods.] I asked the Balladeer-san our first day, and he said that's likely where we could find our missing possessions. Despite saying he had nothing to do with taking them.

[Raoul hums, shaking his head. More unusual circumstances...it's definitely concerning, for sure.]

If he insists that, then the management must have taken them, regardless of any earlier claims. How else would they be in the opera house and not on our persons?

That's how I see it, mm. Not knowing for sure, it's incredibly...frustrating. How do we know when, for sure, the surprises will end?
