Not really. And gosh sorry about that, I've never gone traveling myself so I understand.

I just... I just I don't really know much about Japan?

Well... I understand...uh... [She looks down and then pulls at her skirt.] This is my school uniform, for one. Many, ah,high schools have ones like this, I honestly haven't heard of one in Japan that doesn't require them...which I understand isn't the case in...are you from America, Seymour-san?

Really? Those are really nice uniforms, actually.

[Seriously what is their uniform budget?]

Yeah, I'm from America. I think there are some schools that have uniforms, but I think only the really nice ones have uniforms.

Well, they... [She looks it over.] I suppose it's alright. To be honest, I prefer the summer uniforms.

Ah, b-but school isn't an...interesting topic, is it...? I don't...hm. If I had to describe what it's like, ah... [She closes her eyes and thinks for a moment. What's the first thing that comes to mind?] ...There are so many people.

Yeah, school usually has a lot of people.

Um, what kind of classes do you have there?

A-ah, typical ones. Mandatory ones for my school... Japanese, science, math, English, social studies, PE. Are those similar...?

Mostly? But I didn't know you had to learn English?

Well, it's a very useful language. Most places use it in some way, do they not? You can learn another foreign language, but this is the most useful choice. I've been learning it since elementary school.

I guess that makes sense, it's just amazing to think about. You can learn other languages in American schools, but those are optional and you don't even learn anything in elementary school.

There's a, ah, big emphasis on gaining as much knowledge as you can as early as you can. School isn't exactly fun.
