INVESTIGATION

[Wednesday has Stephen more-or-less dumping a load of junk on the dining room table. There's a sign that says Take one leave one 'Free', just in case it wasn't clear that you can take whatever you want.

Otherwise, most of the day is spent investigating. He'll linger in the laundry room for most of it, and more-or-less try and see if there's any sort of vent that the laundry machines are hooked up to that he can investigate. Seeing as they're kind of big and heavy, that'll take him a while.

While he'll go to the kitchen for some quick bites, he won't linger, and once the day starts winding down he can be found in his room with the door cracked open. He's laying back on his bed, leafing through a handful of letters with a deep frown on his face.]

[Despite claiming to Christine on day one that she doesn't clean, there's something about the action of Stephen dumping the items on the dining room table that disturbs her. Without saying anything, she sets about cheerfully arranging his items for him in a deliberate manner, almost... artistic?]

Oh! [Of course-- until she catches sight of the white sprig in the vial]

Edelweiss! Oh, what a shame it's in this bottle-- it's the most beautiful thing blooming in nature.

[oh well then by all means. He moves aside to give - he thinks this is Anne? He hasn't spoken with her much.]

[She returns to her work, setting up a very fine display, and steps back, looking almost a little too proud of herself.]

Ja-- but it will wilt faster outside of the glass. I haven't seen one in ages-- they only grow in very specific conditions.

I've never seen one before. [He looks back at it, then back at her display] If you want it, though, it's yours. It's the least I can offer after you cleaning up.

I would not be surprised. I had the privilege of having them near me as a girl-- though they grow only in the mountains, at such a height they were not common. My brother would buy them from men who had passed over the cliffs. I wonder what it's doing here.

[She seems to light right up at the suggestion she take it though]

[Yesterday had been exhausting, emotionally and physically, for Angus, and so he says nothing as he tosses several items on the table.]

Take whatever you want for that. [He gestures at the coat of many colors. A rainbow in cloth form could be the thing lift him out of despair.]

[Trade, then? After a moment, Stephen takes one of the compacts, figuring the mirror itself might be useful]

Looking for new clothes?

[He eyes some of the pies, but finds no appetite withing him.]

Anything besides my armor or the costumes.

[At that, he nods.]

Can't blame you. Maybe someone here knows how to sew...

A tailor would earn many trinkets in exchange for their services.

Dining Room

Did you get all this out of that booth- oh, hey!

[He picks up the ukulele and gives one of the strings a pluck, gently turning the tuning knob and strumming at it.]

You think this belongs to anyone here?

I did. And- no clue. Hopefully, if it does, they'll find it.

[Okie-dokie! Are you going to be physically moving a laundry machine to check stuff out back there?]

[Congratulations! You have discovered one lost sock!

More to your original point: it'll be slightly easier to move the laundry machines than one might think, because they are certainly not connected to any vents or anything like that. As it happens, they don't appear to be connected to anything at all.]

[It's later in the evening when Sigyn gently knocks on Stephen's dressing room door]

[He raises his head, then starts to sit up. The letters are set on the side of the bed, for now.]

[Sigyn enters the room, looking a little unsure of herself.]

Hey, sorry, I just- If you're busy I can- [She lets out a heavy sigh] Do you have a minute?

[Huh. He swings his legs off the bed so he's sitting on it, looking at her curiously]

I have a few. What do you need?

Ooh, free! Well, I might as well have a look, then.

[If you don't stop him he will take both pies and the donut. ...He is at the very least going to take the donut and snack down on it before anyone can even try to smack his lil pizza hands.

And, through a mouthful of yeasty mapley goodness:]

Remarkable little cakes, aren't they? [He swallows.] Have you tried one? They're to die, I promise. Mm! So light and fluffy and sweet!

I'm not sure where they're from, actually. But they're pretty popular. Mostly for breakfast.
