[The Opera House is quiet on Friday, just as it was quiet last Friday. There's no immediate smell of blood the air and most everyone was pretty blase about the motive earlier in the week this might just be a deathless week.

The only way to know for sure is to investigate.]

[...Well, after the thrilling investigation that was Darla's door (note to self, remember the door), she might as well take the chance with Eliza's room.

Anything immediately out of place here?]

[Eliza's room is neat and tidy as one would expect, save for the small mess on the bed.]

[A small mess..what the heck is in this? Especially since Eliza's room is clearly the exact opposite of her own room.]

[The bed is covered in some kind of craft project. There's embroidery thread in various colors, some white regular sewing thread and unfinished quilt patches.]

[Quilt patches...what kind of quilt patterns are they?

And..she digs deeper. Is there more on the bed?]

[The pattern shapes on each patch look hand drawn on with pencil. There's a sun, a book, a set of piano keys and fifteen others to make 18 in total. One of them looks almost finished.

Other than the quilting supplies, there are two larger squares of fabric near the corner of the bed. One of them has the loose sketch of a guitar on it.]

[...Eighteen. And one, with a guitar. What, exactly, was she planning? Aside from making a quilt. Wait, how many of them were there...?

Is there anything on the other piece of square?]

[The other piece has a loosely sketched, not entirely accurate but recognizable ukulele.]

[....The Balladeer.

Astarte closes her eyes at this. That's right. Even if he works for management, he's as much part of their team as anyone was. This...this quilt can't be left unfinished. No.

Still. She can get the quilt out later. In the meantime, she needs to focus. Ah, is there anything else aside from the quilt pieces on the bed?]

[There's the bed itself. It's neatly made and doesn't look like it was slept in last night.]

[It definitely looks like no one's slept in it since...the previous night indeed.

Quietly, she gathers up the pieces of the quilts, but before she actually leaves with them, she looks around more. Is there anything else? The mirror, trunk, under the bed?]

[No, nothing about those. But it might be worth taking a peek at the nearly completed quilt patch.]

[Since she is about to take everything, she can certainly look at it. A look in order to try and figure out how the heck she's going to do this, since, uh, who does the guitar even represent?...]

[The nearly completed patch is a neatly embroidered pair of silver candlesticks with a black border around the edge of the patch. The border is about three quarters of the way finished, with the needle stuck into one corner with a small amount of black embroidery thread threaded through the eye.]

[Black border, the color of death. She squeezes it slightly. So, the black border is for those who...who...

She takes a deep breath, looking around. Is...is there anything else?She...she has the feeling she needs to do a little more to prepare for the trial.]
