WEEK 4
[Another week has passed in the opera house and things are looking grim as ever. With Gabe and Hime gone, the performers are down to 16 of them.

On Monday, the opera house is still heavily decorated with a few new additions. There are more cottony cobwebs, a few small ghosts hanging from the ceiling made of cheesecloth, even more pumpkins here and there. A few more candy bowls have been set out in places like the dining room and a few others and only a few of them are only filled with candy corn. In the dressing rooms the stars on Gabe and Hime's doors have fallen off, leaving behind a patch of star-shaped wood slightly lighter than the rest of the doors on Hime's and a different star underneath on Gabe's.

Like the previous week, the door on in the second floor lobby is unlocked and a new floor is ready to be explored. Have a good week, everyone.]

[She sighs.]

These memories showing back sure are confusing, though, I understand. I found out I'm going to be in an arranged marriage through mine. Or maybe I already am?

I guess. I'm not really the dancing type.

[A small pause.]

That... really sucks. Do you remember who it was?

In my world. They... used to lead a gang. My dad's a big fan of murder and chaos, so he trapped their soul in a crystal and dragged them to Hell to marry me off to them.

[The longest pause. Not really, but it's pretty long.]

[She has so many questions??]

Which president? We've had a lot. Although from your description I kind of want to guess Nixon?

Uh... I don't actually know their name. I couldn't keep up with Earth politics if I wanted to, and my dad won't tell me much of anything. Just "you're marrying them, Jezzie, and I won't hear any arguments."

I mean... Not to overstep, but given your parentage, I think not liking your dad is an entirely legitimate option.

I don't think anyone would blame me for hating Satan. But what if he wants that?

He may not care very much about me, but he does want me to be like him. And hatred is his bread and butter, you know? He thinks the love and kindness stuff should just be a rebellious phase. A... "what kid wants to be like their parents?" kind of thing.

[She sighs.]

So I don't know... what it would mean, if I hated him.

Man, if he acts like that... Fuck what he thinks. Do things on your own terms and don't think about how it might seem to him.

Yeah. Yeah, I think... I'm going to choose to hate him. And if I can help it, I'm going to stay away from him as long as I can when this is all over.

[robitussin]

Yeah. You probably have enough time to figure out an escape plan or whatever.

Yeah. I'll figure something out - I just wish it would be easier for me to fit in in anyone else's world.

I'd just have to lose the horns more than anything. But...
