week 4

WEEK 4

[Another week has passed in the opera house and things are looking grim as ever. With Gabe and Hime gone, the performers are down to 16 of them.

On Monday, the opera house is still heavily decorated with a few new additions. There are more cottony cobwebs, a few small ghosts hanging from the ceiling made of cheesecloth, even more pumpkins here and there. A few more candy bowls have been set out in places like the dining room and a few others and only a few of them are only filled with candy corn. In the dressing rooms the stars on Gabe and Hime's doors have fallen off, leaving behind a patch of star-shaped wood slightly lighter than the rest of the doors on Hime's and a different star underneath on Gabe's.

Like the previous week, the door on in the second floor lobby is unlocked and a new floor is ready to be explored. Have a good week, everyone.]

[Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday]

allicareabout: (LEAN Δ they call it a royale with cheese)

...About the same, actually.

[So much goddamn handwaved chess. To his credit, he'll try not to be a total asshole.]

What sort of thinking have you been doing?
robitussin: (i wonder how i take it)

[personal profile] robitussin 2016-11-03 06:53 am (UTC)(link)
About the Balladeer. About how to stop more people from murdering each other.

[A shrug.]

We should probably have another meeting together soon. Anyways... What's on your mind?
allicareabout: (EHHH Δ it's not going to pay for itself)

[personal profile] allicareabout 2016-11-03 07:01 am (UTC)(link)
Another meeting's probably a good idea - and personally, I'm just hoping no one else goes down on Thursday night.
robitussin: (for just another day)

Yeah. I'll get one organized soon. [Natalie is certainly young, but she wouldn't describe herself as naive. When the motive had come out, she denounced it as well, but more because it felt like a downgrade than because she thought it wouldn't work. She feels like he might understand this point of view, too, so—] How likely do you think that is, though? I mean, money seems less tempting than wishes or whatever, but it isn't like nobody has killed for it before.
allicareabout: (INFORM Δ look if jesus christ had $5000)

[To his credit, he'll mull it over before he replies; he's definitely got thoughts on it, she's right about that, but - ]

How tempting it is depends on the sort of person we're talking about - namely, whether they're the sort of person that likes money and doesn't believe in magic.

Wishes are nice, but a lot of people would probably be at least a bit skeptical of them. Money is concrete. Useful to a lot of people. Something people have experience with and a need for. It's better to bank on something like that than something you don't know is even possible.
robitussin: (or if they just fake it)

[personal profile] robitussin 2016-11-03 07:32 am (UTC)(link)
Fair enough. Like, as an example... You and me. Not to generalize, but - no, I'm going to generalize, sorry. We're both probably too cynical to believe the whole wish thing, but you're a lawyer so you're probably loaded, and I'm going to Yale. So, we win this round as long as we don't die or whatever.

[that is absolutely how all of this works]

allicareabout: (GENDO Δ get on the witness stand andy)

[personal profile] allicareabout 2016-11-08 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
[...Sure, kid.]

Something like that. Though we probably shouldn't rule out the ones who have money, either - it's not really something that a lot of people are happy having a finite amount of.

[hahahaha. ha. ha. ha.]
