WEEK 4

[Another week has passed in the opera house and things are looking grim as ever. With Gabe and Hime gone, the performers are down to 16 of them.

On Monday, the opera house is still heavily decorated with a few new additions. There are more cottony cobwebs, a few small ghosts hanging from the ceiling made of cheesecloth, even more pumpkins here and there. A few more candy bowls have been set out in places like the dining room and a few others and only a few of them are only filled with candy corn. In the dressing rooms the stars on Gabe and Hime's doors have fallen off, leaving behind a patch of star-shaped wood slightly lighter than the rest of the doors on Hime's and a different star underneath on Gabe's.

Like the previous week, the door on in the second floor lobby is unlocked and a new floor is ready to be explored. Have a good week, everyone.]

OTA/Investigations

[While Seymour was a pretty rare sight to see both Monday and Tuesday (if you discount his meltdown on Monday), he spends more time outside of his room on Wednesday. He's not even close to his normal self, granted. He is still pale in the face, way more jumpy than usual, and occasionally worriedly looks around as if something was going to pop out at any moment. Still, it is a relative improvement to how he was before.

It should still be noted that he isn't going anywhere near the Garden all day, or really this entire week for that matter. Instead, you can see him in most other rooms, seemingly trying to entertain himself like playing solitaire in the Game Room, or examining the weird disks/DVDs in the Media Room.

He seems especially interested in the Library, doing a thorough investigation of the room. He doubted he could find a way out through this but he hoped at least a little that they could find some clue about this place.

[If the Pirate King thought the laundry machines were witchcraft, then he was sorely mistaken. This is witchcraft. But probably less likely to kill someone, maybe.

He looks around the room warily for a moment and looks like he might bolt before he notices Seymour.]

Seymour! I was wondering when I would run into you again. How are you?

[It's sort of a dumb question to ask considering four people are dead, but eh. Here we are anyway.]
dontfeedplants: (What am I saying?)

[Seymour drops the disk he was looking at and whips around at the sudden noise, quickly calming down once he sees that it's just the Pirate King.]

I've been better.

[That is probably an understatement.]

I'm sure. After everything that's happened...

[...well. It's best not to think too hard about it!]

So! What are you doing in here?
dontfeedplants: (I've got to let it)

[personal profile] dontfeedplants 2016-11-01 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
[Shrugs.]

I realized recently that I haven't explored the other rooms here much, so I figured it couldn't hurt to actually be familiar with our surroundings.

[And he picks the DVD that he dropped.]

I think these are supposed to be movies but I've never seen them packaged like this.

[They're so small??? How do they put the movie into this???]

Is that so? That's incredible! How do you get them to work?

[Technology is fascinating!! No it's terrifying oh my god what does he do with this.]

I'm not sure yet. But I'm sure there are some instructions somewhere. I... I don't think the Balladeer would just leave us to figure this out by ourselves.

[Especially now that most of the modern people are kind of dead.]

I suppose in the worst case scenario we could always ask him. He most likely knows how to use the devices here.
dontfeedplants: (Stick with that plant)

[personal profile] dontfeedplants 2016-11-02 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
Still, it can't hurt to figure it out for ourselves, right?

[After a little tinkering, he manages to get the DVD slot to open.]

Oh!

[This was a lot easier than he thought it would be.]

Oho, look at that! Well done, Seymour! What is our next step?

[...your next step, technically, since it's witchcraft and he's not touching it.]
dontfeedplants: (Stick with that plant)

[personal profile] dontfeedplants 2016-11-04 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
I guess put one of these disks in the slot?

[He puts one of them in the slot and, (assuming he didn't horribly wreck the projector trying to turn it on), manages to make it work and a movie begins playing.]

Wow, I actually did it.

[Seymour is now a witch.]

library, let's investigate!

[personal profile] trettende 2016-11-02 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
[ Hans hasn't seen Seymour all week and you gotta admit, the last place he expected to find him was in the library. Normally people are looking for books... ]

Seymour, it's so nice to see you. Did you lose something?
dontfeedplants: (What am I saying?)

[personal profile] dontfeedplants 2016-11-02 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
[Are you calling him illiterate, Hans?

He looks over at Hans uncertainly. It's hard to tell whether it's because of that thing Anna posted or if he was just uneasy about everything.]

Not really, I'm just trying to figure out if there's any information about this place. Anything, really.
trettende: (mil portazos en la cara la vida me dió)

[personal profile] trettende 2016-11-02 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
[ Shhh, naw, never! Can't become smart about plants without books, right? ]

Ohhh, I see. Good plan. [ Hans is giving off his best concerned/comforting vibes here. He can tell Seymour's upset about something, but considering Anna's smear campaign he can't be sure if it's that or something else. ]

Would you like any help? We could check under 'M' for Management?
dontfeedplants: (Stick with that plant)

[personal profile] dontfeedplants 2016-11-03 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
Help would be nice. [This library is huge after all.] But do you think the "Management" thing would be too obvious?
trettende: (y por fin te encontré a ti)

[personal profile] trettende 2016-11-03 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
...Probably.

[ Things are never that easy. Hans looks the long line of books over. ]

Well, what do we know about the management? They have lots of money, a flair for the dramatic and no qualms with murder... does that sound like any book you know?
dontfeedplants: (My future's starting)

[personal profile] dontfeedplants 2016-11-04 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
[He thinks about if for a moment.]

"And Then There Were None" kind of sounds like that, but that's fiction.
trettende: (somos tal para cual)

[personal profile] trettende 2016-11-04 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
It's worth looking into. [ Hans smiles. That's some real progress! ] They might have taken some inspiration from fiction for their actions; after all, they think of us as "actors" in a play.
dontfeedplants: (My future's starting)

[personal profile] dontfeedplants 2016-11-06 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
You're right. If they were inspired by anything, it's probably going to be a work of fiction, wouldn't they?

[Well they might as well go to the section and see if there's anything interesting going on.]
trettende: (dónde siempre haya una fiesta)

[personal profile] trettende 2016-11-06 06:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, exactly. This whole time they've been treating us like characters from a story. Maybe if we look at it like that, we can predict what they have planned next.

[ Hans unfortunately doesn't have any knowledge of modern literature so he's gonna have to defer to Seymour here. You're the boss now, Seymour! ]

[Given Winslow is from the seventies Winslow is wondering how the hell do you play records that small...

Don't mind him, Seymour, he's just sorta rifling through some of them, feel free to join.]
dontfeedplants: (My future's starting)

[personal profile] dontfeedplants 2016-11-04 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
[Winslow, these are obviously movies. You are too obsessed with music.

Seymour just casually approaches Winslow.]

Um, are you looking for something?
dieformymusic: (Coo)

[personal profile] dieformymusic 2016-11-06 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[Music is LIFE, Seymour.

Winslow makes a startled jolt when he sees his friend before putting aside the discs.

"Looking at these small records."]
