[Last week, in It's Curtains, the weather changed, and with it your fortune in Dads. Discord took Salieri out - or perhaps Salieri took Discord out - and left the survivors with that much less impulse control. Nonetheless, a visit from a new friend might have provided a little bit of much-needed hope?

On Sunday morning, you'll find that the other side of the second floor has opened up - as well as the actual intended path to reach the roof garden. You can finally stop climbing up that rope every time you want to have a picnic or secret lover's rendezvous!

Outside, the weather seems to have calmed down. It's sunny again, with rather a lot of clouds. Though it's warm, the atmosphere seems very...still.]

Maybe. All of us going to a regular school together or something. The current circumstances aren't exactly... cartoon-friendly.

Y... yeah. But I would love to watch something about us being at a regular school! I know I'm too old for high school but I think I would be a cool teacher!

[ And to make this high school AU planning official, she takes a second to switch over to a sketchbook. ]

Well... I think I would be a really fun math teacher!

Alright, fun math teacher it is. I'm the one here with narration experience, so that puts me in as the protagonist student... wanna try to slot in everyone else while we're brainstorming?

Yeah, I think you'd be a great main character!

[Which probably means a lot considering that he himself is a cartoon protagonist.

He thinks for a moment before it hits him.]

Oh, Orpheus would totally be a choir teacher! He's so good at playing music and singing!

Yeah! He seems like a cool choir teacher - and we definitely have to spend some time with the performing arts department so Maya can be here.

[ she thinks, trying to plot something that isn't a two-season romance arc ]

What about Eurydice? Gotta put his wife somewhere - she's a strong independent woman.

Oh, it has to be a good class that fits someone worldly like her. Maybe something like history!

Well obviously there's Benji, and maybe Hester, and...

[He stops suddenly, looking both saddened and awkward.]

[ Janis is silent for a moment, then nods. ]

Yeah, for sure. They get to be part of it too.

Yay! I dads, er, Mr. Salieri would be a music teacher and that Discord would be a great art teacher! Or maybe a social studies teacher for the irony.

Yeah, both of those track. I mean he could be both - if they have to make the coaches teach health, someone can teach multiple subjects.

[ She ponders. ]

Cass feels... auto shop, maybe? Auto shop but she still owns an owl.

Oh yeah, I can't picture her at all without Owl!

And I feel like Elsa would be a great librarian! She's always so sweet and quiet that she would be perfect for one!

Boom. Now that's a romance subplot I could get into.

[ surely theyre official by now right? right??? ]

Gonna have to change some names if I don't want the vengeful ghost of Michael Eisner to destroy me, but. That's for later. Anyway, I think Uncle B gets to be in charge of the theater department, that only seems fair.

[Oh they're already dating in his eyes.

He smiles innocently at that one comment.]

[Don't forget the demon that is Viacom. I swear it's not unlikely that a Slutcracker situation could happen at any moment.]

I feel like Sissi would be in some sort of home ec class? Like where they teach you proper etiquette and table setting!

[ listen when defunctland starts making episodes about viacom she'll know the names of viacom executives ]

Oh, he... used to make cartoons. His company made one with a princess named Elsa once.

[ Nailed it. ]

That seems right. I assume there are schools out there with home ec still.
