Let's Gather 'Round the Campfire and Sing Our Campfire Song

[Well last week Spongebob decided that the Wizard was nothing but a big fucker and everything was all his fault so he is going to kick his "Boost the moral of his friends" scheme into overdrive to rub it in the Wizard's stupid face.

Around the school on Monday, there will be Spongebob's huge mass of fliers again, this time for some sort of camp out.]


Spongebob Squarepants Crazy Camping Party!!!
Come to the edge of the forest on Monday at 5 pm for a whole night of roasting marshmallows, telling Spoooooky stories, and sleeping under the stars!
Don't worry if it rains, we can always bring the camp inside!

Attendance is MANDATORY!!! I will come find you if you don't attend.

[And he absolutely means it.

Even though there are no stars, it's a comfortable evening with no real signs of rain, and Spongebob's managed to set up a cozy Spongebob set out a bunch of blankets, towels, and pillows around a cozy campfire. There are plenty of food you'd normally see at a camp out, including smores! Spongebob seems to have gone all out and brought in practically every kind of candy from the kitchen, so have fun with the sugar rush!]

It's not quite the camping trip we had in mind, is it?

[ Janis steps forward, turns, and leans back into them. ]

It's... probably good to get everyone together. And hey, we can still camp out later! Minus the spooky stories, maybe. I'll take just Peregrine to Music Box of Horrors when we get out of here, balance will be maintained.

[mayavericks]

[Perfect. Maya pulls Janis just a little closer, making sure her arms are secure. No one can take her away if Maya holds on tight enough, right?]

That sounds nice, actually. You two can go enjoy an awful, upsetting film, and I can prepare a nice dinner for the two of you once you're back.

[fourbutts]

[ She laughs a little. ]

How very domestic. [ It sounds... nice, right about now. ] You're coming with me to Rocky Horror night at the Music Box at some point, though. I promise it's not scary; it's a fun musical.

[mayavericks]

That's the... Timewarp one, right?

[fourbutts]

Yup! Jump to the left, step to the right.

[mayavericks]

Do they... actually time travel when they do that?

[fourbutts]

Nah, it's just a dance they do while they talk about the past and stuff.

[mayavericks]

Okay. I think I can handle that.

[She pauses, expression thoughtful despite the still-present flush.]

That's how many dates that we have planned now?

[fourbutts]

I think that makes three? Pancakes, Baumkuchen, Rocky Horror?

[ And one, in the process, planned with Peregrine without asking her, but. ]

I can't help it, I just want to take you places.

[mayavericks]

However will we find the time.

[fourbutts]

I mean, I could just compress it into a big tour of Chicago for you. Music Box, museums, the Bean...

[mayavericks]

You should show me some of the theatres, too. It might benefit me some, to know what opportunities were in Chicago.

[Her brow pinches.]

What... Bean are you referring to?

Oh for sure. We got plenty, Damian drags me out to a show or two every year.

[ Janis lights up. ]

So... you're going to have to take my word on this, but we have this huge statue that's meant to look meaningful or whatever, but it just looks like a giant shiny bean. Everyone either loves it or hates it.

[mayavericks]

With luck, maybe you'll be the one dragging Damian to a stage with me on it?

[Okay, Maya 100% does not understand the appeal. But Janis looks absolutely adorable talking about it, so...]

It... Sounds delightful. I cannot wait to meet this bean.

[fourbutts]

I mean... literally any stage with you on it, I'll be there if I can. I will get into opera for you if that's your thing.

[ support! girl!! ]

Just as I will be happy to visit any of your galleries. Of which I am sure there will be many.

[Maya's used to praise but... There's something about the way Janis does it. She can't help but beam.]

[ It's kind of cheesy, but... she likes the kind of person she is around Maya. It's more satisfying than being angry. Being stuck... kind of the same way she's been since eighth grade. ]

Only mildly. Since it seems so important to you and all. Truthfully, I am not sure what intimidates me more at this point. Bean-san, or Damian.

Oh, Damian's going to love you. You're going to mention one of those Japanese musicals where everyone's played by a girl or something and I'm going to lose both of you for the next two hours.

Oh, Takarazuka? [Look what you've done, Janis...] Most of our training draws heavily from Takarazuka customs. Many of us would love to find themselves amongst one of their troupes, myself included.

[fourbutts]

[ Janis nods. ]

That's the one! I mean... hell yeah, go for it. Seems great. We have absolutely nothing like that in the states, I'd love to see it.

[ one day janis will see maya in a suit and just pass out ]

Your Damian has great taste then. I am... actually very excited to meet him.

[She gives Janis a quick kiss behind the ear.]

I promise I will not spend too much time talking about theatre with him. Or at least if I do, I'll try to find a way to keep you engaged as well?

Eh, he's listened to me talk about enough stuff he doesn't care about, you guys can at least have one two hour talk about musicals I've never heard of.

I am certain I could find some benefit in the conversation for you, as well. Like talking about all of the outfits I have worn over the course of my career?
