[It's Sunday night! Boy, today sure has been a day, hasn't it?? Memories returned, Father's Day Gifts given, and Benjamin sure had a Time, didn't he?

Looks like it's time to find ways to cope.

Thus, the bed frames from Broadhurst dorm are being worked on being taken apart by Varian while the mattresses are becoming The New Floor.

Additionally, there's plenty to eat and drink, what with the hot pot provided by Rina, cookies that might just taste a bit burnt from Farrah, apples from Orpheus, more delicious potatoes from Maya, as well as sandwiches by Cassandra. There is also quite the variety of pie, from caramel, to bittersweet chocolate and strawberries, and several other varieties from the vending machine. Finally, there's popcorn brought in by Spongebob. If someone wants a drink, there is some delicious hot cocoa, provided by Elsa, as well as the tea brought in by Discord. There's also a variety of drinks from the vending machines.

Everyone's invited of course. There are a variety of games happening, and there's even a TV that's been wheeled down from the Library. So bring your pajamas, whatever they happen to be, and settle in for a sleepover!]

[Elle glances down at her own nails. Normally at the first sign of a chip the polish would come off and a new coat applied. The pointer finger on her right hand shows a rather large chunk of missing polish near the tip, and yet she isn't in a rush to take it off either.]

We can do that, or your toes, like me! [She wiggles her toes to show off the bright pink polish.]

[Salieri blinks at that--that hadn't occurred to him, actually]

If you don't mind, that would be preferable.

No problem. I...didn't want to take mine off either.

....did...[he hesitates for a moment]...did Monsieur Connor paint yours, as well?

Yeah.

[She inspects her nails and smiles.]

He's really good at it, too. Like no clean up required.

He certainly was. [there's a minute softening in his expression] He convinced me to try the glitter and I must say, I am rather fond of it.

He had good taste, too. Everyone should try glitter at least once.

What color do you want for your toes?

Ah, well, I normally choose black as a default, however...I believe I shall defer to your expertise. I don't usually paint my toes.

Hm...[Elle pulls out a black holo polish]

A little black, a little of everything else?

[he brightens immediately upon seeing that polish, reaching out to gently take it from her, and observing the shifting rainbow in the light]

That is absolutely stunning. How on Earth did they get an entire rainbow in there? [he'll offer it back to her, looking perplexed, but fascinated]

I think it's something the flecks are coated with?

[Elle takes the bottle and begins to shake it up.]

I never really learned the science behind it, but holo nail polishes are some of my favorite.

I can certainly see why. I don't think I could wear it on my hands when conducting, I'd be too tempted to simply stare at it and lose track of the piece.

Oh yeah, I can't wear it during finals. Too much of a distraction.

Alright, lets see those toes!

[he'll shift, then, tucking his knees up to his chest and wrapping his arms around them]

Ah, might I ask...what sort of finals are you participating in?

Depended on the year. I was in fashion merchandising, so it was a lot of business classes towards the end. Sophmore year was when I got to do most of the practical design and construction.

[he listens, quietly, to her explanation. Salieri tilts his head, eyeing her curiously.]

You're studying fashion, then?

[whatyouwant]

[As he speaks, Elle begins painting with careful, even strokes.]

More of the business side of fashion, but we still had to know the basics of contraction and design. But now I'm in law school, so almost a complete 180!

[Elle seems equally proud of both of these things.]

Oh, you're studying law now?

That is a significant difference, I would agree. What made you chance your focus?

It's...a little unconventional. [Before this week she would have gladly told anyone her plan to win back Warner's heart. But now, with her most recent memory...and Angus...]

There was a guy I was dating. I thought he was going to propose to me, but he dumped me instead because I wasn't 'serious.' [She stops painting long enough to make the air quotes.]

So I decided to prove to him that I can be serious by getting into the same school he did!

He sounds like a true gentleman. [DRY AND SARCASTIC]

Good on you for proving him wrong.

Yeah, I don't think I realized how...nasty he was until I got here. Got some distance.

[Elle paints with even strokes, the holo pigments catching the lights as she works.]

It's hard, but I'm going to stick with it. Prove everyone wrong, you know?
