And I'll Be With You When You Dream
[It's Sunday night! Boy, today sure has been a day, hasn't it?? Memories returned, Father's Day Gifts given, and Benjamin sure had a Time, didn't he?
Looks like it's time to find ways to cope.
Thus, the bed frames from Broadhurst dorm are being worked on being taken apart by Varian while the mattresses are becoming The New Floor.
Additionally, there's plenty to eat and drink, what with the hot pot provided by Rina, cookies that might just taste a bit burnt from Farrah, apples from Orpheus, more delicious potatoes from Maya, as well as sandwiches by Cassandra. There is also quite the variety of pie, from caramel, to bittersweet chocolate and strawberries, and several other varieties from the vending machine. Finally, there's popcorn brought in by Spongebob. If someone wants a drink, there is some delicious hot cocoa, provided by Elsa, as well as the tea brought in by Discord. There's also a variety of drinks from the vending machines.
Everyone's invited of course. There are a variety of games happening, and there's even a TV that's been wheeled down from the Library. So bring your pajamas, whatever they happen to be, and settle in for a sleepover!]

[He idly spins a few dice through the air.]
In my dimension it's known as Ogres & Oubliettes, though it seems to go by different names in different places. It's a fantasy roleplaying sort of experience.
There's plenty of classes that use swords.

Where should I begin? There are rules, right? Can I read them? It seems important to be familiar with the ins and outs.

[Pats the propped up book.]
You only need to know some of the rules to get started, but I'm sure that won't stop you.

[Baby rules lawyer, coming through.]

[He'll hand the book over. There you go, Maya, have at it.]

[He'll let her read, for the moment, though he's curious to see if she's genuinely just going to read the whole book.
Surely... Surely she isn't...]

Pantheons? You have entire Gods in these games?

[but regardless--]
If you're playing one of the more divine inclined casters, that might come up, I suppose.

[She flips through a few more pages.]
And you have to manage entire towns? Determine their size and where they rank? [There are gears turning in her head.] It seems a lot to keep track of.

You really don't have to read all of it.

So long as you don't intend to only read and nothing else.

I didn't read the book at all before I started playing.

You're right. I suppose it would take someone who doesn't care much for things like rules and order, but... oh, that doesn't sound like anyone I know.
...Of course, my first time I also didn't really want to play, but that's besides the point.

I don't trust you to run this game properly.
[She's going back to reading. SHE WILL BE THE MOST PERFECT AND RULEABIDING DM.
OM? Who knows.]
