[Last week, Gershwin High School Academy University saw its very first intentional murder! What a milestone! And right after Spongebob's No Murder party, too - that doesn't seem like it bodes very well for anybody's future.

You all wake up this morning with yet another new memory returned to you. You'll also find that the school's external doors have now unlocked. Congratulations! You're free! Unfortunately, you also seem to be entirely in the middle of nowhere. So maybe it's more of a symbolic victory.

[Elle scoots closer to make the hug more comfortable, consequentially she is almost sitting in Angus' lap.]

I'll promise if you do. [She wraps her arms around his waist.]

[Angus lets go of a long, deep breath that needed to get out. Four deaths, four people he wanted to bring to their homes. A penguin man he vowed to help, and empress who had a country, a boy who had so much to live for, and a robot he tried to teach. He can’t let anyone else die. Not someone as kind as Elle.

He steadies her on his lap and holds her by rest his hand on hers.]

I swear by it.

[How long has it been since he relaxed like this? Not when he was busy in his studies or exploring space. Not when Zargothrax returned. Just him, left alone, with a dear companion.]

I don’t want to lose you as well.

[whatyouwant]

[Elle's stomach does a little flip, something that hasn't happened since she first started dating Warner.]

I don't want to lose you either.

[She turns her head so it's buried in the crook of Angus' neck.]

[mcfife]

[He wants to sit here for hours. No Wizard, no emergency, no dying. Here, life is simple. He doesn't want Elle to go away. To disappear like a dream.

Eventually, he arm starts getting tired, but thankfully he has an excuse.]

I got something from the machine that I think you may like.

[whatyouwant]

[Elle can't remember the last time she's been this relaxed. When Angus speaks she peals herself away from him just enough to look up.]

Oh yeah? Any more creme brulee?

[mcfife]

No, something better.

[He shimmies so that he's sitting pressed up against her and reaches into his bag, pulling out a law textbook, still in its wrapper.]

I know you are studying to be a lawyer. This might be of some use to you. And... [Well, they cuddled, nothing wrong with another gift.] A hair decoration.

[It's a pink flower! Her favorite color, he assumes.]

Oh! [Elle smiles, running a hand over the plastic-covered cover.] This is one of the ones on my first year list!

[She grins at the hairpiece as well. She has a few of them, but Angus doesn't need to know that.]

Can you help me put it in?

[mcfife]

Hah, I'm not a beautician, but I will do my best.

[He hovers the pin over her hair while she gets into place.]

That's quiet a beautiful set of locks you have. Where would you prefer to put it?

[That makes Elle blush.]

If you can just pin back my bangs on this side. [She moves back, and off his lap, in order to give him room to maneuver.]

[mcfife]

[He brushes his fingers against her forehead - she has such soft skin! - to pull her bangs back and slides the clip in.

Then again.

He's trying to get more of her hair out of her face.

There.] Good. That adds more color to your hair. [A grin.] The color suits you so well! Are all lawyers in your universe this well dressed?

[Elle giggles.]

Kinda. They dress 'professional', but most of them are in dark suits. It's so drab!

Dark colors can be impressive. The commander of the resistant army wears all black. With silver and gold.

[And with unicorn pins. So not exactly "professional."]

Look at me, I wear green all the time!

[whatyouwant]

Oh totally! I just never liked wearing them all that much.

[Look at her. Would she look good in navy blue? Well, yes, but that's not the point!]

Green is totally your color! It really brings out your eyes.

[mcfife]

Does it? [He reaches for his eyes - right. He can't tell like this.]

Green is our national color, but I never thought of it like that. [...] I could use more sets of outfits.

We can totally do that! I helped Balladeer pick out some new clothes from the costume shop. I'm sure there's something in there you'd like too.

If no, I can always try my hand at men's wear!

[mcfife]

I got come clothes from the machine. Some sort of pajamas made of cheap materials. Would that be of any use?

[whatyouwant]

Maybe? There's some pretty good materials in the costume shop, we can probably find something there.

[Elle turns so their sitting shoulder to shoulder, leaning on Angus.]

Hey, can I ask you a kinda personal question?

[mcfife]

Well, of course. There is no one else around.

[They're running out in the woods and corn field.]

[Yeah, they'll be fine.]

Do you have anyone you're...you know...seeing back home?

[mcfife]

...No.

Not for a while. And I’ve been too busy saving my current home dimension to date anyone.

[A smile.] But at least we aren’t in an urgent situation this time.

[whatyouwant]

Good. I mean not good about the fighting, but, I mean-ugh. [Elle turns and places a quick peck on Angus' cheek.]

[mcfife]

[He rubs the kissed cheek. It's warm.]

Despite everything that has happened, I'm glad I can return to a peaceful kingdom with you.

That sounds like fun.

[She grins. Like a lot of little girls, she'd dreamed of being a princess. Who knew being kidnapped would give her a shot at it?]

Oh, of course. I don't want to take you away from your training. [It's cooler to have a princess with powerful abilities than to have a princess who could not complete her learning. If she wants to be a princess, of course. And if the court is fine with her. And if she likes it in Fife.]

I'll have to introduce you to my friends, and take you on a ride around the kingdom. I could ask Ralathor for a flying submarine ride, unless you're fine with clinging onto a jetpack.

[Wow its...weird to have a partner that actually cares about her goals? She knows Warner never really took her degree seriously, but it never bothered her. At least until she had something to compare it to.]

Well, I've never used either, but I think a jetpack might be a little too intense for me.

Oh! You can come see Malibu! We can go surfing, maybe go to Disney! [Not as cool as a jetpack or a flying submarine, but still fun!]
