[Last week, Gershwin High School Academy University saw its very first intentional murder! What a milestone! And right after Spongebob's No Murder party, too - that doesn't seem like it bodes very well for anybody's future.

You all wake up this morning with yet another new memory returned to you. You'll also find that the school's external doors have now unlocked. Congratulations! You're free! Unfortunately, you also seem to be entirely in the middle of nowhere. So maybe it's more of a symbolic victory.

Still, you should look around and do some investigation! Maybe you'll find a fun surprise.]

[Salieri glances over mid-sort to pause when she picks up first the Death Note...then that gun]

Absolutely not. Put it back.

What! It’s not real! [The death note, or the gun?


We just don’t know.]

[he is giving her such a look right now.] I don't care; they're in the disposal pile for a reason, put it back.

Why? [She’s testing him—- she’s absolutely testing him on purpose. Then the gun in her hands makes a click (blissfully, the unloaded one) and she all but throws it back into the pile.]

Because guns make me uncomfortable. As does that notebook. [dryly]

The notebook’s actually fake, though. Hester told me. [And she whips out her own death note, which—- boy howdy. Those are a lot of death wishes, very neatly written to save space, even. Several double sided ones for Chess, the single, crossed out line for poor Clark, and the several double sided pages written for Riley. She sits down at the table, watching him carefully.]

....I suppose. [Salieri arches an eyebrow at that, before taking a couple steps so he can lean over her shoulder to look at it.

After a moment he makes a slight snorting sound, like he's swallowing a laugh]

Some of these are, ah...quite creative.

What can I say? I like to add my own personal touch to things.

Clark’s was that he died instantly, crashing his car because he couldn’t stop looking at his own hair in the rear-view mirror. But then I felt sad and petty, and realized I shouldn’t death wish Annleighs boyfriend, no matter how perfect his hair is, just because she pays more attention to him than me.

Probably not, in this circumstance. Though admittedly, I do enjoy some of these. [he reaches out to tap one of the Riley ones]

Yeah. I have to say, I’m most proud of those. I know you’re not, like, supposed to wish death on others, but…

She’s earned it.

[he huffs out a sigh] I suppose as the responsible adult, I should be telling you that something like this is wrong, love and forgiveness, et cetera et cetera.... [he waves a hand a bit, as if to brush all that off.]

And in most situations, I might hold to that somewhat.

Publicly. [She echoes him, but keeps the grin plastered across her face. She knows she’s about to get something good, so she nods, and slides the book to him.]

[With a moment of thought, he writes out: "Lady Braebrook chokes on her soup by inhaling it as she slurps it too loudly."]

[Farrah can’t help herself— she snorts.]

Oh, that’s good. Super un-ladylike.

[he can't help but smirk at that]

My, this is even more cathartic than I thought. Perhaps I should follow your example, even.

[he pauses... and then adds "Lord Braebrook steps out into the street and gets hit by passing carriage, in comeuppance for how many times he's purposefully told his driver to splash people walking by."]

[Farrah laughs again, gently swatting at his shoulder.]

You’re awful! I can’t believe I thought you were a stuffy old man, look at this shit! I’m a terrible influence. [She sounds every bit delighted by it, though. She’s been called it before, and it always felt either miserable or like complete bullshit— but in this, she can delight.]

[the swat makes him chuckle, smirking]

My dear, I've spent my days in Court. If I could paint "petty" as a place, that would be it. [drawled...and then after a moment, adds: "Lord Reinhardt is hit in the head with a mannequin for crimes against fashion."]

[Farrah snickers at his addition.]

Sounds like high school. Or maybe facebook. Either way. I didn’t expect you to be so—-

So? [Salieri arches an eyebrow, amused, encouraging her to finish that sentence]

Sooooo… [She draws it out, trying to pick the right word.] … Bitchy? But in a good way.

[that startles a huff of laughter out of him]

Thank you. I've never been called that before. [...] At least, not to my face. But I'll take the compliment.

It is a compliment. I love it. [It makes her swell with pride— he’s not just funny, but any time she sees a flicker of his slightly improper side, it fills her with hope. He’s brilliantly imperfect. And he’s doing okay. It makes her think that she’ll be okay someday too. That… she might get a chance to grow up just like she should.]

[Salieri's expression softens at that, and he's reaching out to set a hand on her knee]
