[In a perfect world, Maya would have been able to isolate herself for the rest of the evening. It's not like her to wallow in her feelings, but it's also not like her to be trapped away in a murder school or part of an execution so... not like she has much choice there. Besides, between the influence of Janis, and the sight of her remaining dormmates, it's clear that Maya simply can't... let things go.

It's like she told the SQUIP. They look to her for hope. And so, hope she must be. It's her job to stand tall for the others. Thankfully help comes easier this time -- there's no need to scruff Discord, or try to keep Spongebob from making Hate Patties. Maybe that, in and of itself, is a good sign.

It's just another fluke. They'll be okay. They're together, after all. Even Salieri and Discord are getting along well enough to help.

Cutting potatoes proves to be an interesting task, considering the fact that most of the knives are missing. Maya has a few guesses as to how that happened, but she won't point fingers again today. She makes do with what she has -- two swords between her and Cassandra.

Potatoes, cakes, pies -- the arrangement is much the same. There's even cocoa (made by less experienced hands, unfortunately), and alcohol. It all feels like a repeat of last week, but she's trying to not think about it. She does her best to keep a smile on her face as she knocks on each door, inviting others to the cafeteria once more.]

[Salieri turns, leaving the cupboard door open as he looks back at Discord, giving him a once over from top to toes and back]

Hmm, I suppose you might be able to reach. But...perhaps I should simply get a step-stool instead.

[disharmonizes]

[Discord rolls his eyes a little bit at that, just causally leaning over to grab the cups. Maybe just letting one or two float in the air for fun.]

Tempting as it is to just let you run around for that, we do have a job to do.

[he'll chuckle at that, reaching out to pluck one of the cups from the air]

Well, in that case, do be a dear and float them over to the wine, hm? Then we can get started on napkins and silverware.

I'm certain you would like to hear that I'd be lost without you. Unfortunately, I'm afraid I cannot give you the satisfaction of that answer.

Seeing as I would simply get a step-stool. [smirking, now, as he sets the cup down next to the wine and mead]

Hm, oh, is that so? Well, then.

[And one of the cups is just going to float up and

stick to the ceiling.]

Go right ahead.

[at that, he'll glance at the cup on the ceiling. He hums, thoughtfully]

How interesting. I hadn't realized you had an interest in interior decorating as well.

I have many talents, of course.

Oh, but you can get that one yourself, right?

On the contrary. I think I rather enjoy the decorative addition. [he plucks a couple more cups out of the air, stacking them on top of the other one]

[Okay, he laughs a bit at that.]

Now, that's not very proper of you. What if you get sent to manners jail?

The only way that would happen is if someone told said Manners Police about it.

[he arches an eyebrow]

You wouldn't do such a thing to me, would you, Monsieur Discorde? [this time he really draws the "o" out, leaning his elbow on the counter]

That depends on what they offered me. I mean, would I snitch on you for no reason? Probably not.

But give up a friend for my own personal gain, oh, absolutely.

[he sighs at that, with a slight touch of exaggerated disappointment]

Well, I'm not sure what I expected. Though I suppose it should have been that? [he goes back to smirking] Are you sure you wouldn't like to spend time in Court? With that attitude, you'd fit right in.

...truth be told, something tells me his Majesty would actually enjoy that. Rosenberg would not, of course, but I'm almost tempted to say I would be interested in a ticket to that show.

[That...makes him pause for a moment, and he folds his arms, leaning back on the counter and studying Discord for a moment.

Strangely...when he reflects, he's come to find that he does, perhaps, enjoy Discord's company under certain circumstances. He can certainly be aggravating, irritating, disrespectful, etc, etc, however...sometimes he can be rather kind, in his roundabout Discord way. Not to mention the care he's shown to others, though he certainly would protest if it were pointed out.

Salieri tilts his head just slightly, looking up at Discord with an arched eyebrow]

[Oho? He was expecting a denial there, a back-and-forth, not this.]

Well, in that case, I'd have no choice but to deliver once we got out of here. You do realize that, yes?

[Salieri makes a humming sound, considering, as he turns to take one of those wine bottles and open it, pouring himself a glass that he then picks up, and turns back to Discord, letting that offer marinate.]

You say that as though I'm not rather well aware of your proclivities.

[he takes a sip of his wine]

Perhaps I simply wish to see how Count Rosenberg would react to your presence.
