Week Two

[Last week, no murder happened! Instead, a lot of students started work on Salieri's school play, which sounds pretty cool even though it's gonna be short, several people destroyed Bigfoot and got a few mysterious clues, and Orpheus started a fire in the kitchen! All in all, not a bad first week!

Though some people might have gone to talk to Hester, she hasn't made any more public announcements. There's some new papers posted up around the cafeteria, but it looks like it's just your upcoming lunch schedule. Seems like nothing's driving you towards Rule Five except, perhaps, all of the kidnapping and how criminally boring some of you are finding the school. Maybe the Balladeer is right, and you really can just wait this out? Only time will tell!]

--Oh, Salieri.

[She nods to him. The storm in her eyes briefly parting.

It's yet another one of her posters, scribbled in neat handwriting, calling for everyone to attend a gathering tomorrow. It's... definitely not a work of art, but more close to the cryptid club posters than you'd think.]

I figure it's about time we all get together and talk.

[he'll glance at the poster, then, eyes scanning over the words] 

I think that's wise. The Wizard seems to be making a move, and it certainly should be discussed.

[feudalladyshandmaid]

It's about time we started putting our heads together, don't you think?

[She thumbs a tack from a pocket on her uniform, stamping it into the poster.]

After all, it's been week and a half. There's no signs of a way out yet.

I agree. Then perhaps we can come to a consensus about how to organize and work together...or at least share what we know so far.

And we're definitely sharing that much.

I get the feeling that we don't know much.

[he folds his arms at that, huffing out a small sigh]

I have a similar feeling. There are far too many unknowns here, and too little information, and far too few avenues to go about finding it.

And it's never going to be so easy as asking 'why don't we just ask them about it?'

Certainly not. Not that they would likely give an honest answer anyway.

If they answer at all.

But that tells us one thing: they know something. And they don't want us to know about it.

The longer we are here, the more I think that there is much that they would rather us not know. [he sighs] They hold far too many of the cards here.

So we shuffle the deck.

Find a way to turn the game in our favor.

[violentenvies]

[Salieri looks at her then, at those words. It's...inspiring, almost. To say such things]

...yes. I'm certain we'll find a way to do so, if we can work together.
