all the bad songs of the night, will fade into the past
[It's been a long night.
A night that’s lasted 7 long weeks but this is the end.
When all is said and done for the players, the two SQUIPs in their new bodies and the two out of place Narrators, it’s time to finally leave. Once everyone has gathered what they want from their rooms, the other floors or even the merch booth that Michael broke into, the Leading Player leads them out the doors. Something important to note is how much lighter it is outside than it has ever been before. On the horizon the sky has cracks of oranges and yellows and purples of a sunrise. She leads the group through the previously night-shrouded gardens and cemetery then finally through the gates to…]

[As promised, it’s the Return of the Liminal Denny’s! They might even find some familiar but confused faces waiting for them there along with some strangers.
The Leading Player herself doesn’t stick around long and opts not to come inside, but she’ll remain in the parking lot for a little while before taking her leave. Don’t worry about getting home- she has you covered.
After their grand slams have been slammed and goodbyes have been said everyone will be free to leave the liminal space that is this strange inter-dimensional Denny's and find themselves exactly where they want to be.
But right now as they stand in the parking lot, taking in this new location with your found family tropes, you watch the morning glow of the sun as it rises over the Denny’s sign.]
[ooc: Welcome to the cast party and actual final log of It's Curtains act 2! We hope you've all had as wonderful a time playing this game as we did running it and we hope to see you for round 3 when it comes around!
Since this is the final log, we have a special clause for it: every R2 player character (and Evan, because fuck it) is allowed to have one castmate for this log and round 1 characters are welcome! As a reminder for R1s who might not be aware, it has been 4 years since the end of their round! Have fun with that, everyone! ♥]

But there's something missing, even as he sits at a booth feeding Tad Cooper blueberries from the top of his stack of blueberry pancakes. Not something. Someone.
He sits upright when he hears his name called across the Denny's, almost tripping over himself to get out of the booth.]
Bobby?
[He turns to Tad Cooper and points at him-]]
Stay.
[And then, he turns and sees Roberta, and a grin breaks out on his face even as his vision immediately blurs.]
Roberta!
no subject
[Relief washes over her seeing him alive and whole. She runs up and flings her arms around his neck]
Where have you been? We were so worried about you!
no subject
It's a long story, Bobby, but-
[Once he sets her down he cups her face in his hands and kisses her deeply. One of those 'forever' sort of kisses.]
no subject
Are you okay?
no subject
His voice is low and warm.]
I am now.
no subject
I was so worried. I woke up and you and Tad were gone, no one knew where you went, we thought you might have been kidnapped or murdered, or-
[Yeah, she's babbling. Doesn't seem like she's going to stop of her own accord any time soon.]
no subject
Well, now Bobby, don't be mad...
[Oh boy.]
But I, kind of was? Kidnapped. Just a little bit.
And these people - ...well, most of them anyway, I don't recognize some of them - were kidnapped with me. They're all from other worlds, like this place is! Isn't it amazing?
no subject
What? Are you okay? Did they hurt you? What do you mean 'other worlds'?
[Focus on the positives! He's alive! He's safe! He has...new friends?]
no subject
[He does a little wiggle with a grin, fingers tightening on her hips to calm her down a little.]
Honestly, I don't really understand the other worlds thing either, but it's true! Most of them are from the future, or something, where they have "light switches" and "plumbing-" it's like a garderobe, but it's not on the outside of the building!
no subject
That certainly sounds...exciting! So these people are your friends then?
no subject
Bobby, so many of them are kids. [Huh, the way he says that almost sounds like it's vaguely upsetting that so many kids are here! Imagine that!]
There's Steven, and Christine, and Jeremy, and Riley, and Claudine, and Nana - [He's pointing out people across the room, shifting to put his arm around Roberta's shoulders because he doesn't want to stop touching her yet.] - And that's Evan, and...
[He scans the crowd, and then says, squeezing Roberta's shoulders.]
...Bobby, how would you feel about... me taking on a ward?
no subject
Generally positively. Why? [Look, she might not be in her prime anymore, but she still has more than a few years left for them to try to produce an heir. Richard had never been overly concerned with that before, so that probably isn't the reason anyway...]
no subject
[He points out Red. There's a soft look on his face.]
That's Red. Sweet as can be, you'll love her to bits. And she... Well, I said "most" of them are from the future, but she's one of the ones who's not. She's from a place a lot like ours, and... I don't think she has anywhere to go.
So I was thinking about asking her if she wanted to come home with us.
no subject
She seems wonderful, of course she can come with us. [Is this all a little overwhelming? Sure! But, for better or worse, she trusts Richard.]
You should probably introduce me first.
no subject
[He grins sheepishly. Then bends down to kiss Roberta again, smile turning a little bit sly as he murmurs quietly:]
And- if she does come home with us, that doesn't mean we can't keep trying for our own, someday.

[They are gonna bang like a screen door later. When the only viable option isn't "the Denny's bathroom."
But because this is Richard, and also because there's no convenient trees to go behind here, he also dips out of his sultry tone of voice just as quickly.]
In fact, I was thinking everyone could come visit! I mean, everyone who wants to. It would be fun!
no subject
Oh, yes, that sounds...fun! [She has no idea who any of these people are.] Maybe after Galavant and Isabella's wedding, though.
no subject
I mean, I figured they would, but- I didn't miss it, did I?
no subject
Galavant didn't want to have the ceremony without you there.
no subject
That's so sweet.
[He clears his throat.]
I knew he cared about me! What a softy, that Gal. I'll have to write him immediately to let him know - ooh, or what if we just surprised him?
...No, he'll probably deck me for going missing and worrying him for so long. Best to stay out of arm's reach at first.
no subject
A letter to warn him would probably be the best idea.
