first investigation
Your second Friday in the gilded cage that is the Opera House feels very much like the one before. The only real exception is that today is the deadline for the Phantom’s offer, to erase a single person from existence in exchange for one of their lives. The morning is quiet as you all filter out of your rooms with no immediate signs that anyone’s taken your house manager up on his offer.
That is, except for the very small, dark stains on the carpet of the dressing room hallway but that’s probably unrelated.

INVESTIGATION START
[The Phantom's voice echoes through the opera house, from...wherever he may currently be hiding? The sound seems to come from everywhere, so it's a bit unclear. Either way, he sounds....maybe faintly amused? Rip to Christiiiiine.]
Jonny D'ville, the First Mate, is dead. You will have a short period of investigation, before you will move to the theatre proper for the trial.

Hey, you two-bit lying faker with stupid frickin' penmanship, you're just going to tell us to investigate a murder, that you instigated, and- and laugh?! At all this?! At her?! [ ...Yeah. Yeah, she might be shaking a little bit. ] Do you know how much she's defended you?! Do you know how little you deserve that?!
[ ...Give her just a little bit and she'll stop. She will. But, well. Maybe she has to get a little of this out. ]
