week 5
[Five weeks, three trials, seven deaths and thirteen performers left.
Monday the opera house has been cleaned top to bottom of any leftover traces of Halloween. No pumpkins, no cobwebs, no cheesy paper skeletons, not even a hint that there the decorations has been there in the first place. There's a slight chill in the air this week, like someone forgot to shut off the air conditioning on for a bit too long. Luckily there are plenty of sweaters in the costume room should the performers get chilly. Three more doors are lacking in their appropriate stars now but, as with Hime's, Eliza and Darla's doors have different stars stuck tight to them with different names on them.
The door on in the third floor lobby is unlocked and a new floor is ready to be explored. Enjoy your week, everyone.]
[ooc: put in your memories and get in your activity, lovelies, and let's have a stellar week.]
DOOR INVESTIGATION + OTA
God, he doesn't know what the fuck is going on at home anymore.
Quietly, he makes his way down the hallway, but upon seeing the new fallen stars and remembering what Astarte had found last week, he's got to know. Eliza and Darla's doors...what new stars do they bear?
Later on in the afternoon, Raoul makes his way up to the new fourth floor, curious as to what he'll find. The bar is not a disappointment, and soon he's poured himself a glass of nice red wine to sip slowly as he looks about the room in quiet, sullen contemplation.
Ask him what's up - he might have a song for you.]

wAIT A MINUTE. Burr...Barr? Could Barr have been a misspelling of Burr? He'll have to compare this to the note he found and see if it's possible.
Now, what of Darla's door?]

WOW EXCUSE YOU
Raoul takes a sharp breath through his teeth, tearing his eyes away. Orphans...they'd taken orphans into this detestable place...perhaps for even more murderous romps. How many people had lost their lives in this place before them?
Raoul pounds a fist once on Darla's door before turning on his heel to his own door. A simmering anger has him now. Is there any way to remove the star from his own door to see who might have been inside of it first?]

But fine - he's mad enough to storm into his room, and frustrated enough to start moving furniture around, perhaps even kicking the legs of things when it proves difficult. He starts with his bed - anything under it, hidden on the wall behind the mattress, stuffed between things?]

[She's looking around the room curiously, even if she doesn't intend to drink anything.]
Lots on your mind?

I have never been the type of man for whiskey, I'm afraid. [A pause to take a sip. He's being slow and measured with his drink.] As for your question...yes.

[A pause.]
The trial, or something else?
no subject
[He always says what he knows is the truth, and is constantly honest with how he feels and what he thinks is right.]
...My dream, from last night. Or, I suppose...it is a memory, isn't it?
no subject
[Gasp, a compliment. It only took a month.]
Yeah. All of them have seemed like memories to me. What happened?
no subject
...I do not know...if it is right to trouble you with it. I - there is nothing anyone can do, if what happened before me was sincere...
(no subject)

...Mn.
[Raoul makes that sound and lets out a breath, swirling his wine expertly. Men of high class know how to do these things and not make it look pretentious.]
Not...quite, I'm afraid. It seems the trend of waking up on Mondays with new memories has continued, and mine is...
[He shakes his head.] Augh, it's nothing I should bother you about, Astarte...
no subject
[May as well get that out of the way.]

[But part of him wonders if he had, after that happened. If not by asphyxiation, at least from a broken heart.]
no subject
[A shrug.]
Or, I was about to.
no subject
But...Astarte, that cannot be true! How else could you be here?

And then there's Raoul. Who doesn't seem like he's all too okay.]
Hey! Are you okay?
lol let's get lightly toasted
Ah! Red roses mean you love her!
...He can't lie to you Anna. Raoul shakes his head.]
I am far less alright than I've been in...quite some time, I'm afraid.

Was it a memory?
no subject
It was indeed a memory. And...there is so little I know about the events surrounding it, that...I cannot get it out of my mind.

[It might help?]
