week 4, wednesday - time for a meeting!

[Now that two murders have occurred, most everyone is probably eager to prevent another death from occurring. It's a good idea to share information as well, so now, it's time for another group meeting! Earlier in the day, Natalie goes around and lets everyone know that there's going to be another discussion in the dining hall during the afternoon. She won't force anyone to come if they don't want to, but she at least makes sure to inform everyone she can find.

Once everyone is present, she raises her voice, making sure that she's heard.]

Okay, let's get this show on the road. It's been a while since all of us have had a discussion as a group other than during trials, so let's do that again. If there's anything you want to bring up, definitely go for it. We should figure out as much as we can while we're here.

The Nightman. And his title was...The Nightman.

[She'll get more into what she found in the room if she finds anything in the as-yet-unfinished thread! but first]

I asked the Balladeer about it, but he said he didn't know the Nightman. That...there were earlier shows even before he came, shows back when this place was a proper opera house.

Do you suppose it could be in reference to an actual production?

[dechagny]

...So it would not be from a nefarious show like our own, but...a normal performance? But what sort of part is a "Nightman"?

[solomonjihad]

I don't know. But I did find...something else.

[Brings out the purse!]

A...Troll Toll bag. It has chocolate coins in it.

...

I don't know how old they are.

[robitussin]

...Can I see it? Just for a second.

[solomonjihad]

Of course.

[She nods, and hands the purse over. Just...she can't guarantee you'll live if you eat the chocolates, for all she knows they're a million years outdated.]

[robitussin]

[She takes it and turns it over in her hands, looking at it thoughtfully, but she doesn't do much more than that. She hands it back to Astarte after a few moments.]

Weird.

[solomonjihad]

Yeah. I don't know how long its been under the bed, but it was there.

[robitussin]

So... There was probably another show before this one, but we don't know if it was similar to this one with the murder and everything.

...Also, if the Balladeer came on shortly before this show started, I wonder if they had another narrator for the last one. If so, what happened to them?

[solomonjihad]

Right. I mean...its possible, right? That we could just be the latest of a series of these...shows. The Balladeer must have been brought in because of his experience with killers.

[robitussin]

Yeah. You found traces of another one, so I wonder if this is only the second, or if there have been way more and they just forgot to clean up that one detail from a previous one.

[solomonjihad]

...We should all look in our rooms, then. In every room, and see if there's more like this.

[robitussin]

Yeah. I'll check mine after we're all done here.

[dechagny]

What is a..."Troll Toll"...and why must it be paid on chocolate coins?

[solomonjihad]

...I don't know. I've never heard of it.

[When Astarte says she has no clue you know its weird]

Surely whomever calls himself a "Troll" has a better grasp of monetary worth than to demand payment in sweets.

I don't know, trolls are apparently terrible with money...

I have only read about them. [In fairy tales. With Christine and violin accompaniment.] Though I cannot recall ever particularly reading about their economical habits.
