WEEK 2
[From the day you arrived on the planet, and blinking, stepped into the sun. There's more to see than can ever be seen, and more to do than can ever be done. Yet, still, the whole thing seems...monotonous. Surely there must be some excitement, some showmanship, some sort of plot twist that could keep this show moving onward?

[Raoul claps at that.] Here here! Wishes, phantoms, fairies - none of that can exist, even in a world with electric ice boxes!

[Wait hold on.

"Are you talking about fridges?]

[dechagny]

Yes.

[Is there a problem with the term 'electric ice boxes'?]

[dieformymusic]

[It just seems so strange.

"You didn't know what they were?"]

[dechagny]

My good man, I had no idea what it could be until I examined it myself.

[And he looks real proud that he did, too.]

[Pause.

"Are you not from this time?"

This time being the 70s.]

I am not. It was 1881, for me, before I came here.

So that would mean...

"Some of us are from different times."

But...but that's crazy. How can someone do that?!]

[It really is - he's had this crash course with Astarte - but that doesn't make granting wishes any more a thing that can happen.]

That is what I am gathering, though...I cannot fathom why, unless the management likes to watch folks like me bumble around the micro-wave.
