...I suddenly feel much more nervous than I did a moment before.

[JUST A FEELING. She freezes-- not dropping the knife, but not moving it either, just staring at it.]

I like to think that not cutting myself is an obvious goal I shouldn't have to even think about, so I have to ask... is there something more to this knife?

[He uses one of the domino masks he received from the booth to carefully pick up the knife by the handle.]

This here is the Knife of Evil, one of three most powerful relics from the era of gods. To think that the Phantom allowed us to have this...! No, the possible outcomes are too horrible to think about.

[bloodycape]

[Red slowly takes her hand off of it, allowing him to take it, while not taking her eyes off of it either.]

So it's some kind of magical artifact then?

[She puts her hands behind her back.]

Maybe it was lost, like my cape and Mister Phantom found it. [That said.] But... Isn't it better if we have it though? At least then we can keep an eye on it!

True, though I doubt he expected that I would be the one to find it.

[He certainly does not want to keep it on him.]

I do wonder why he has it. No one had seen the Knife in my universe for centuries.

Probably not-- but it's a good thing you did. I don't think any of us would have recognized it.

[mcfife]

I will keep this in my room for now. [It's the safest place to store it. The risk of anyone accidentally cutting themselves on it terrifies him.] ...And you're free to take any of these things. I already have a lot.

[The less people that know, the better. And it's safest with him anyway.

For now though, there's the matter of the less Dangerous gifts, the absurdity of some which makes her smile.]

There are so many strange yet wonderful things that come out of that booth. I only wish my cape was one of them.

Is there anything interesting you received so far?

I haven't explored it much-- but I did try once!

They gave me a flower and some accessories for my hair. It was very nice of them.

I could use more food and clothing. [He doesn't have many of those.] Speaking of food, how goes your quest to bake bread?
