[ This has sure been a week, haha, hasn't it!!

Riley's all smiles. Tired? Her ponytail's a bit messier than usual. But she's all smiles! Because she has to be. An eyebrow raises, at all the...everything. ]

Oh, I just thought it might be nice to do. Talking about "Nana Cafe" at the dinner party last Sunday made me think about doing it again.

Oh! That's right, your story. [ A fleeting little light of embarrassment reaches her eyes, but she pushes it aside, instead looking over Nana's food, and...hm. ] You know... One little muffin won't hurt anything. They do look really good.

[ It's probably not gluten free, but Riley did just start that recently, so. ]

[ She grabs a small plate of banana bread close to her and holds it up. They are not muffins but... ]

Try this! After our talk last week I tried experimenting with the "gluten free flour" in the kitchen!

[ She laughs as she sets it down closer to Riley. ]

[ And not. Because you know. Her name literally means Big Banana. Or because her pigtails are fucking bananas oR BECAUSE SHE KEEPS EATING BANANAS... I HATE ANIME ]

I know I didn’t have to but I wanted to anyway. I want to make stuff that everyone can eat..!

[ You know, Riley's too tickled by this to question it. She'll gladly take something Nana worked hard to make! ]

Well, I appreciate it, so much. But, you know, I really can try the other things you make. [ Heck, why not, she's gonna try this oh motherfuck it's delicious ] Mmm, and if they taste anything like this, I've definitely got to! Where did you learn to bake so well?!

Oh, well it’s always just been a hobby of mine. I cooked for myself a lot anyway, and I came to really enjoy it— especially when it made other people happy. So over time I just got better and better at it.

[ Riley tilts her head, smile a little subdued. ]

That's...sort of the same with me? I mean- I can't cook nearly this well. But, the more I experimented in the kitchen, the more I wanted to try different recipes.
