I’m glad you’re not hurt. That was legitimately terrifying to see, even if it wasn’t permanent.

[It still is terrifying, the idea that if he feels like it he can take away her most precious memories. But she can't say that. Claudine is still young, she doesn't need more things to worry about.]

He's trying to get to us. We can't let him. [Her voice shakes, just a little]

We won’t. That’s the same as letting him win, and we won’t let that happen.

[At noticing that shake, Claudine will reach for one of Sigyn’s hands and give it a squeeze. She’s not just going to jump to hugging, because that’s not her style, but a hand squeeze is okay.]

Any time. I know I’m not exactly the most optimistic person here, but I want to believe that we’re all so much better than our host thinks we are.
