[Sigyn stands and watches Angus go at the door for a few minutes. For a moment she thinks he might wear himself out eventually, but then she remembers who this is]

Is that working any better than the tuba?

[mcfife]

[Angus hits the door several more times, giving an answer to Sigyn's question. After a few more minutes, he realizes that no, nothing is happening.]

What mystic enchantment
Has the Phantom spun?
My weapon has no effect
Escape can't be won!

[The hammer is dropped, sounding like a large hammer would when hitting a polished floor, and Angus falls to his knees beside it.]

[After the hammer and Angus fall Sigyn comes and kneels next to him]

We can't loose hope. [Her voice wavers, as if she's trying to convince herself that as well.]

How is this happening? I keep calling the astral powers of the Hammer of Glory, but no magic comes forth! [A lone finger brushes the sigil etched on its side. No power glows from within.] What have his wizards done to it?!

Perhaps it isn't the hammer? It could be something in the building is blocking the power.

What power could it be? This is one of the most powerful weapons in my universe, yet this door stops it?

[What can he do anymore? What good is he if he can't save anyone?]

This hammer means nothing if we cannot break free...

One person, in particular. [The phantom can't fuck with her memories if his skull is caved in]

[And if he is immortal?]

I only hope that he is not so powerful as to withstand blows as that.

[His breathing eases, but he remains unhappy.]

[She reaches out to place a hand on his shoulder]

I hope it does.

[A heavy sigh, he grips the handle tightly.]

I hope he really feels it.
