week 2
[It's been...
One week since you woke up here
Met your house manager and said "Weβre angry"
Five days since he laughed at you saying
"Write me some letters and youβll never see me"
Three days since the mirror room
You realized thereβs more the Opera House wouldn't tell you
Yesterday you'd bonded more
But it'll still be two days till you get your motive
Welcome to week 2, performers.]
[ooc: happy week 2, everyone! Don't forget to submit your AC and your regains! Regain rolls are done Sunday and Tuesday nights.]

It's been immensely beneficial since arriving here. Imagine if I could not remember the proper ratios for the acids I've been making

I am afraid I am not familiar, no.

It's like... There's something called a camera, and it can take a moment in time, like...like a picture, like someone's drawn it, but it's instantaneous, and it can freeze it forever, so you can always look at it.
no subject
How big are they? And the images they create -- are they large as well?
no subject
But, um, there are ones that just give you the picture too? They're older, but some people like them. They're, like... [ Larger, more clunky. That's what she's miming. ] And the pictures are about [ insert basic Polaroid picture here ] this big.
no subject
Are these just readily available, or are they reserved only for the upper echelons?

You are correct. I might have... put some food in the dishwasher, believing it might cook it.
no subject
In the dishwasher? Oh, no. How did that turn out...?
no subject
[He glances over at Riley.]
What are you having?
no subject
[ Positivity!! ...Maybe. ]
no subject
[Oops. He's raining on the parade.]
It's a shame I was never good at cooking. At least not anything more than game over a fire.
no subject
You can't? Not even, like, pasta? Everyone can boil water.
no subject
But yes, I can certainly boil water!
no subject
[ The things Anne knows and doesn't know confuse her so Riley has to be sure now. ]
no subject
Why would you put pasta in a box?
no subject
For easy purchase, of course! Here, let's see... [ She starts rifling through the cabinets, standing on tip-toe for some of the taller ones, until... ] A-ha!
[ Behold, a simple box of pasta. Just some penne. ] A little...basic, but hey, looks like there's actually gluten-free. This is a dinner of champions. Good source of carbohydrates, great for refueling after a workout.
no subject
And... What is gluten? Or Carbohydrates?
no subject
Gluten is something in wheat. It's, um...some people get sick from eating it? Not me, I just- well, studies say it's a good diet, for people involved in athletics. [ Riley...................... ] Carbohydrates are foods that can be broken down into a lot of energy. Fruits, potatoes, beans—things like that.

I see. I had not realized that we had advanced so far with... food sciences?
[He didn't know food could be a science, at least not beyond agricultural practices.]
These are all things you need for your cheering, yes?
no subject
[ A little bounce in her step, she grabs a knife and gets to peeling this...well, average apple. ]
And, as the captain, I've got an example to set. The captain's a role model, for the whole squad. So, arguably, I've got to be the most active of everyone.

[He's inspired at the idea of being so driven at such a young age.]
Do they put sauce in boxes now too? Or does that still need to be handmade?
