No Backward Glances

Today is the day of the promised grand finale. And, strangely, nothing about the Opera seems especially different this morning. The theatre doors remain locked. There's no smell of blood in the air, no trashed rooms, and no dead bodies to find. In the lobbies, the crystal chandeliers are still in their places, not swung about by any mysterious force.

But there's little things. It may take a while to notice, but the lock on one of the doors in the second floor lobby - the one leading to Boxes 5 through 8 - is missing. Should anyone try it, it opens easily and without a sound.

Meanwhile, down on the first floor, the graffiti on the box office walls has once again been cleaned up. In the process, it seems, the box office door was left slightly ajar.

(( As a reminder, these are your teams. Group A gets the second floor, which will involve the area indicated in red, and Group B gets the first floor, with the areas in blue here and down the left to here. Good luck, everyone! ))

And would that mean...they have a connection to the showrunner? Or, perhaps...they might be the showrunner? I cannot think of anyone else who might have a hidden office in this place.

[...what the heck does that mean. Alright, he'll take this post-it note with him in case someone needs it at some point! Anyway, is there anything else on November to note or should he flip it back to October?]

[personal profile] dontfeedplants 2016-11-25 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe? I have a hard time believing that just someone from Earth would be able to do all of this, but we really don't know what this world is like.

[And granted, man-eating plants exist in his universe so that's not exactly an impossibility anymore.]
dechagny: (is not a total douchebag)

[personal profile] dechagny 2016-11-25 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
That is very true...

[Still a little rattled by the clip, Raoul pointedly ignores the video in order to take a look at the projector itself. Any other movies they can pop in and watch?]

Swan was responsible for the last twenty years of music.

One person could do just as much for history.

[personal profile] catliketread 2016-11-25 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[...That's... kind of weird, actually. Maybe it's just a coincidence? Is there anything else to note about October?]
dieformymusic: (Grackles)

[Winslow can gladly take hold of it.]

Doesn't mean we need to expose ourselves to more.
dontfeedplants: (What am I saying?)

[personal profile] dontfeedplants 2016-11-25 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
That still doesn't explain how they were able to kidnap twenty people from different times and worlds. Even the most powerful person on Earth can do that, I think.

[But this is still assuming that the assassin is a normal human.]
dechagny: (here to help)

[personal profile] dechagny 2016-11-25 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
[Let's take a look at that stuff then. What are we talking here, books, papers, notes? Embarrassing photos of Showrunner at the Christmas Party?]

I don't think we're dealing with powers on Earth anymore...beyond even Swan and your plant.
allicareabout: (TILT Δ okay but that's really dumb)

[personal profile] allicareabout 2016-11-25 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[...You know, thank you for sort of verifying that we're looking at dry decomposition here, because that is the question I had been trying to find a way to ask without actually asking it because I didn't particularly want to know the answer. Not really, anyway.

That said, since the dead person's not using it, let's take that booklet and look it over, shall we? If the cover truly is blank (front and back, he'll check over both), then opening it is probably the best course of action.]
dontfeedplants: (Get what's coming to them)

[personal profile] dontfeedplants 2016-11-25 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
The plant was actually an alien. But I understand.

... Whoever is behind this must be a horrible monster.

[He shudders slightly. He is not looking forward to running into them.]
onthebusagain: (Or forget that creep)

[personal profile] onthebusagain 2016-11-25 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Lets stick together for now. Where to first?
pennyless: (no one condemning you lined up)

[personal profile] pennyless 2016-11-25 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)
[...He remembers the guy who rolled out from underneath the bathroom stall, he's going to check under the beds on his way over to the wardrobe.]
dechagny: (mild disgust)

[personal profile] dechagny 2016-11-25 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
["The Death of a President"...Raoul doesn't have time to read it, but surely the dates indicated on the cover should help figure out if the president in this book and the one in that movie clip are the same person. As for the other book...]

Is...that supposed to be the events of that moving picture...reenacted with toys??
pennyless: (to realize your disguise is slipping)

[personal profile] pennyless 2016-11-25 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[You can either join Billy here or take one of the other rooms, girls.]
dontfeedplants: (They say the meek gonna get it)

[personal profile] dontfeedplants 2016-11-25 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[Wow that's... really inappropriate.]

It's like that movie for kids that reenacted the Titanic...

[I can't believe the Mastermind was harassing Seymour last week.]
dechagny: (aint no viscount got time for that)

[personal profile] dechagny 2016-11-25 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
What is the Titanic?

[If it's as bad as this he's gotta know]
