WEEK 4
[Another week has passed in the opera house and things are looking grim as ever. With Gabe and Hime gone, the performers are down to 16 of them.

On Monday, the opera house is still heavily decorated with a few new additions. There are more cottony cobwebs, a few small ghosts hanging from the ceiling made of cheesecloth, even more pumpkins here and there. A few more candy bowls have been set out in places like the dining room and a few others and only a few of them are only filled with candy corn. In the dressing rooms the stars on Gabe and Hime's doors have fallen off, leaving behind a patch of star-shaped wood slightly lighter than the rest of the doors on Hime's and a different star underneath on Gabe's.

Like the previous week, the door on in the second floor lobby is unlocked and a new floor is ready to be explored. Have a good week, everyone.]

[Winslow, these are obviously movies. You are too obsessed with music.

Seymour just casually approaches Winslow.]

Um, are you looking for something?

[He rests his head on the table.]

I'm so much worse than anything Hans could have done.

Neither would I. That's... sort of part of why I was hoping books would tell me. Something a little less... Shakespearey than Shakespeare's stuff, you know?

[She frowns at the Old Plays section.]

And definitely not something called 'Tis Pity She's a Whore.

1st floor lobby, media room

[After finally getting some coins into the merch booth, Darla's pretty torn on how to act with her prizes so she'll sit in the lobby for a while with all of them scattered near her on a seat cushion.

In the afternoon, she'll be in the media room digging through things. She has no idea what any of this does but she's going to touch it.]

[Wow it didn't even work and there was only cats and a hippo and a fish and other ones but she forgot so there.]

What's wrong with your face?

[robitussin]

Maybe you could ask someone who has a little more experience than either of us? And... Who doesn't use phrases like that, yeah.

[robitussin]

Wow. That sounds pretty depressing.

Who are most going with?

[robitussin]

...That really sucks. I'm sorry.

[bestof]

Darla, I should have expected to find you here. [Oh, small child, you have Done Some Shit but Eliza is nothing if not a bleeding heart for children.] I was just doing some exploring since I haven't been on this floor yet.

[bestof]

A sun would fit Anna perfectly. Perhaps a paper and quill for Mister Leach, a pink bow for Darla. I'm not sure about Miss Astarte and Heather though.

[robitussin]

Astarte likes books a lot. Heather... Clothes?

[bestof]

I'm fine, I've just- [She rubs her eye with the back of her hand, sniffing softly.] It hasn't been a very good night.

[trettende]

[ Oh, Jesus Christ. Hans expected this stuff from Anna, but Winslow? He raises his hands to try and protect his face, pulling back only in time to avoid getting completed decked. Winslow clocks him right in the jaw, wow. ]

Winslow, what--? What is wrong with you?!

[trettende]

It's worth looking into. [ Hans smiles. That's some real progress! ] They might have taken some inspiration from fiction for their actions; after all, they think of us as "actors" in a play.

[bestof]

Clothes could be nice. Or maybe make-up, she's very fond of that. A rapier could fit the Pirate King nicely.

[She'd like to ask Natalie if she had any thoughts on what Gabe's could be but she's trying to refrain from bringing him up as long as she can. She knows firsthand now how it feels to lose a family member.]

[robitussin]

For Billy... The lawyer one, at least, we could do scales? That's, like, a symbol a lot of attorneys like. Who knows why. I don't know the other Billy, but his title is the doctor, so maybe something medical? A hook for the other pirate here seems pretty fitting.

[They're running out of people before they inevitably reach the elephant in the room. Yikes.]

[bestof]

[The crying lasts a good few minutes before she's able to stop. She pulls away enough to catch her breath and wipe her eyes against a shoulder.]

I'm sorry, Anna, it-it hasn't been a very good night.

[bestof]

[She nods along, taking mental notes of their choices while she takes a moment to switch embroidery thread colors for the candlesticks.]

Inspector Javert needs something law-related, obviously. Miss D-ne should have a ribbon, a crown for Prince Hans.

[Getting down to the wire before things get Dead Teenage Boy awkward.]

Winslow's mask... Maybe a suit for Raoul? I want to say horns for Jezebel, but that seems kind of awful.

[bestof]

We can always come back to Miss Jezebel later. [She hasn't...actually talked to her for Reasons but she seems very nice though. For someone literally from Hell.

And then there was one.]

...Did...you have any ideas for Gabe, Natalie?

[robitussin]

[She pauses, but it's not like she hadn't seen this coming. She's been thinking about it the whole time. With most people she would give some flippant answer and brush it off, but it's different with Eliza.]

...Him and D-ne - they shouldn't be on there.

[bestof]

[Eliza stops her embroidering mid-stitch.]

Because they were culprits.

[She doesn't sound upset or disappointed. She sounds very matter-of-fact about it actually.]

[robitussin]

And if they're on it, everyone's going to think about how they killed Valjean and Hime and get upset whenever they look at it.

[aflatouttahell]

Yeah. Not exactly... a lot of people here who jump out at me, but. I'll think about it.

In the meantime, though, is there anything you want to talk about? I'm honestly kind of boring, apart from the Hell thing. And I do want to get to know you better.

And we want the quilt to bring up happy memories, not the murders, trial and executions.
