don't stop believing
[It's a pleasant afternoon in the garden. Maybe not emotionally, but physically - isn't it nice when you get to have class outside?
As your voices rise, singing defiance in unison out for the Wizard, there's no immediate response; at least, nothing that clearly is a response. But there's something. Amidst the sound of your song, it may be hard to hear at first; Janis will likely be the first to notice, but eventually everyone is able to hear. It sounds as though other voices are rising along with yours.
There's something on the air - no music, or at least no instrumentals, just a disembodied sort of lyrical chant. You don't recognize any of the voices. They aren't singing the same song as you all are. Maybe they can't; they sound long long ago, and far far away now. Still - despite everything - the trees around you move lightly in a sudden soft breeze. It feels as though you have invoked something, old and entirely beyond your knowledge.
But first. Haven't you forgotten something?
It's Wednesday.
Welcome to this week's school club!]

Ugh. I'm sorry. I hope you like roller coasters, because this guy is not a good ride to work. But he does in a pinch.

[She holds out her hand.]
I'm Elle Woods, by the way!

[ Janis sort of. Squints a little.
yo, girl, why so familiar? ]
no subject
Also, I think you mean Yo Girl.]
Ugh-- no, I just have an unfortunate habit of ending up on the bus because all my rides are dead. And in this case, on the bus driven by a dead guy because my ride to work is kidnapped? [She's just raising up on her tiptoes to scan over the group of people--]

That's a really upsetting recurring problem, yeah, damn.
no subject
Yeah. It's been a rough two months. But it should be all over, now.
You guys headed back to Denny's? [She proudly gestures at her Denny's nametag]

[ LIKE... DOES MISTER DENNY KNOW? IS THERE A MISTER DENNY? ]
no subject
It's a liminal Denny's.
no subject
... Like the tumblr aesthetic thing where people get really excited about empty hallways?
no subject
[You weren't trapped at the Denny's after all, that's great!]

Oh my God. Thank God. I couldn't do it anymore. The buses--- horses--- I missed half my shifts!
no subject
Aw, I'm sorry. [Though he's less sorry that he's not being incredibly sympathetic; he was like, dead most of the time.] There were horses?
