Week 7
[Last week, on It's Curtains...boy, that sure was a year-long week, huh?
But despite it all, you've gotten through it with less death than there might have been. Spongebob and Farrah both survived their ill-conceived plan; Maya, with the intervention of Janis and Hester, survived her triple murder. Since the failed execution, there has been no sign of the Wizard or of Hester. It seems like you may have gotten away with that cleanly!
When you wake up on Sunday, you remember everything. All the gaps, the missing pieces, entire chunks of time from back home - they're back and neatly fitted where they should be in your heads. Elle, Orpheus, and Eurydice have also been given graves alongside the others in the garden. These ones were filled in for you; after all, you were all pretty occupied over the weekend.
Other than that...it seems like some unusual posters have been put up around the school. Sounds like something's going to happen this week. You'd better prepare.]
Sunday | Monday | Tuesday
(( As per usual, endgame will ICly take place on Wednesday, so get those last threads in! As this is the last week, all characters should be at their true canonpoint memory-wise. Feel free to continue submitting regains and...well, you can certainly try to visit Hester. No AC this week, but be sure to check in for endgame! ))

Oh shit, are we burning letters?
no subject
No, we're burning lies!
no subject
[ Well damn, uh. ]
Can we burn letters, though?
no subject
Yes, we can burn letters.
no subject
[ And she runs back into the school for a moment before returning with a stack of paper and... a pair of scissors? ]
Just, you know. I figure if we're all moving forward together like we are, I'm not going to need them.
[ Ah. ]
Anyway, if you're not getting rid of these, what are you getting rid of?
no subject
Well. She sees what she has there, and her eyes narrow. ]
...Janis. What letters are you burning...?
[ She has an idea. She doesn't like that idea. ]
no subject
[ Purses her lips. Looks down. ]
You... don't have to look at them.
no subject
[ It's not a question. ]
no subject
[ she winces. ]
I don't think Maya would have been great.
no subject
[ If we're being, you know. Honest. ]
no subject
[ She sighs. ]
It's funny, there... wasn't really a week here I wasn't worried I was going to end up dead.
no subject
Well. You haven't. And there was no...freaky threat today, so. So we don't have to think about it anymore.
[ ...It's the one thing that Peregrine really doesn't want to talk about. To think about. Losing anyone else... She knows it would be the last straw. She knows she's just barely hanging on. ]
no subject
[ She takes the scissors in one hand. ]
I'm cutting out the sketches, though.
no subject
Of course you put sketches in them...
no subject
no subject
Well, in that case, be my guest.
[ ... ]
At least what you're hope burning. Mine's all spite.
no subject
Oh yeah? What are you burning?

"Dear Connor Murphy,
It sounds like you really care about her. I just know she would love to hear all these things herself. The gulf must seem wide between you, but I know if you keep at it you can one day reach her.
Tell her everything you told me. About the indigo streaks and how she dances. About the stars she scribbles when she's bored. Tell her that you noticed all these things. It won't fix everything, but it's a start, right?
I hope you and Zoe can really connect soon. If you need me, you know you have me in your corner. Family's important.
Sincerely,
Me"
[ Peregrine looks up. Throughout the reading, her voice has dropped about...ten degrees, in terms of iciness. She looks bitter, angry, and positively enraged. ]

[ She pats the other letters sitting next to her. ]
No more...fake letters or anything like that about Connor's life from some creep who clearly like— this sounds like he was stalking Connor's...sister, or something, right? I can't be the only one who hears that.
