Week 7

[Last week, on It's Curtains...boy, that sure was a year-long week, huh?

But despite it all, you've gotten through it with less death than there might have been. Spongebob and Farrah both survived their ill-conceived plan; Maya, with the intervention of Janis and Hester, survived her triple murder. Since the failed execution, there has been no sign of the Wizard or of Hester. It seems like you may have gotten away with that cleanly!

When you wake up on Sunday, you remember everything. All the gaps, the missing pieces, entire chunks of time from back home - they're back and neatly fitted where they should be in your heads. Elle, Orpheus, and Eurydice have also been given graves alongside the others in the garden. These ones were filled in for you; after all, you were all pretty occupied over the weekend.

Other than that...it seems like some unusual posters have been put up around the school. Sounds like something's going to happen this week. You'd better prepare.]

(( As per usual, endgame will ICly take place on Wednesday, so get those last threads in! As this is the last week, all characters should be at their true canonpoint memory-wise. Feel free to continue submitting regains and...well, you can certainly try to visit Hester. No AC this week, but be sure to check in for endgame! ))

[That shocks Spongebob that he almost drops the can, and takes a few seconds to scramble to grab it before gently placing it back on the ground.]

I'm sorry! But what does Angus need all these cans for?

They're...rations. It's stuff Eurydice left for us.

... Oh.

[His expression falters, and he pales slightly as he clings to Eurydice's his coat.]

She... she really did care about us, huh?

[He's suddenly starting to feel like he took her rationing habit for granted.]

[ Peregrine nods, looking down. ]

She'd been saving things for weeks. Left lists of everything to leave for each of us, based on what she knows would be good for us. What we liked, what'd help keep our strength up.

[Spongebob crouches down besides Per. He's quiet, for a moment. He doesn't hate Maya, of course he wouldn't, but every time he thinks about Eurydice now he feels like a small part of him was missing. She was one of his first friends here, and she knew what it felt like to lose a home and helped him after that first motive.

.. And now he can't even tell her that his home is safe now.]

... What did she leave me?

[A part of him feels selfish, asking about himself like this, but it slips out before he can think.]

[ ...Peregrine smiles, somewhat sadly, and stands up. ]

She left this.

[ She pulls him into a hug. ]

[It takes him a moment to realize what's going on, he was shocked at first by Peregrine initiating a hug.

When he realizes what she means by this, he pulls her into a hug. Tightly, like he's trying to hug both Peregrine and Eurydice at once.]

I like this gift.

[It might be a childish thing to say, but he means it. All he wanted was to know that he loved her and he's glad that she cared so much about him that she wanted to make sure he'd be reminded of this.]

[ How tight, loving. Peregrine tightens her grip and gives him a squeeze. ]

Yeah. I like giving it to you.

[Spongebob's hug turns to full out cuddling as he rests his head on Peregrine's shoulder.]

I love you guys. Every one of you. And I'm gonna save everyone who left us, I promise.

[ A half-smile crosses her face. ]

Not alone you're not, okay?

Of course! I got you, and Janis, and Farrah, and everyone else! I know together we can make the Wizard pay for everything he did to us.

[He pauses, than laughs a little.]

I never thought I'd say that about someone who lost their family, but it isn't fair that he gets to flaunt that while he put mine at risk multiple times!

[Both families.]

[ Peregrine snorts as she pulls away, just in time for Spongebob to see the bitter frown on her face. ]

Yeah, that fucker doesn't get to pull the sympathy card on us after all this, screw his life, screw his plans. A lot of us have lost family, we're not kidnapping a bunch of people and forcing them to kill each other.
