Week 7

[Last week, on It's Curtains...boy, that sure was a year-long week, huh?

But despite it all, you've gotten through it with less death than there might have been. Spongebob and Farrah both survived their ill-conceived plan; Maya, with the intervention of Janis and Hester, survived her triple murder. Since the failed execution, there has been no sign of the Wizard or of Hester. It seems like you may have gotten away with that cleanly!

When you wake up on Sunday, you remember everything. All the gaps, the missing pieces, entire chunks of time from back home - they're back and neatly fitted where they should be in your heads. Elle, Orpheus, and Eurydice have also been given graves alongside the others in the garden. These ones were filled in for you; after all, you were all pretty occupied over the weekend.

Other than that...it seems like some unusual posters have been put up around the school. Sounds like something's going to happen this week. You'd better prepare.]

St. Paul. I...was planning on a double-major. Political Science and Anthropology.

Oh, well- it’s okay. They’re all fine and- and I know my mom supports me. …Last I remember she…was talking about moving down to St. Paul. To be closer to me. …We were already making plans of things to do and see, and…

[ She examines the joint in her hand, before taking another deep inhale and coughing slightly. ]

I was— mostly wondering what she thought I was doing now. Where I am. …If…she’s doing okay.

Oh...

[ She frowns. Thinks of everyone else in the rest of the show - in her life. ]

Well, we're getting you back to her. Obviously.

Those few days Jacob was missing, before we knew... It was the worst thing I'd ever gone through. The uncertainty...

[ Peregrine blinks and then shakes her head. ]

I'm— I'm sorry, we weren't- this is sad, I didn't mean for it to be sad.

[ she thinks. ]

[ Naturally, Peregrine starts to think about what makes her happy. That's a little complicated nowadays, because most things that make her happy also tend to make her either mad or sad. It's been a very complicated time. Her brain is also slowing down, in terms of comprehension, so since Janis asked her a question, she can't think of an answer. ]

Uh. Uh. Like. [ ...... ] Did you know Connor's eyes are different colors.

[ Fucking Nailed It, Per. ]

[ Janis is silent for a moment, staring up at the sky.

Yeah!! Yeah, I know, I know, right? I didn't- so, the apples, he like. He tripped and I tried to help him up but I tripped, and... and I was looking at them. And just...half of his right eye was brown, like...just really brown and I thought, wow. Wow, I've never...seen anything like that before.

[ She's laying back now again, a silly little smile on her lips. ]

I- I asked if he knew, 'cause, I dunno, I think maybe I've got this thing that makes my mouth not listen to my brain, but I- I like, it was really cool. I wanted him to know...I thought it was cool. Anyway he just kinda laughed and...started helping me up and talking about apples again, so, I think he thought it was stupid, so I...I didn't think 'bout it again, 'til now.

[ Lightly, Peregrine laughs. ]

[ Janis giggles. ]

[ And Peregrine, likewise, breaks down into giggles. Smoke leaves her mouth in huffs, as she tries to hide her face. ]
