Week 7

[Last week, on It's Curtains...boy, that sure was a year-long week, huh?

But despite it all, you've gotten through it with less death than there might have been. Spongebob and Farrah both survived their ill-conceived plan; Maya, with the intervention of Janis and Hester, survived her triple murder. Since the failed execution, there has been no sign of the Wizard or of Hester. It seems like you may have gotten away with that cleanly!

When you wake up on Sunday, you remember everything. All the gaps, the missing pieces, entire chunks of time from back home - they're back and neatly fitted where they should be in your heads. Elle, Orpheus, and Eurydice have also been given graves alongside the others in the garden. These ones were filled in for you; after all, you were all pretty occupied over the weekend.

Other than that...it seems like some unusual posters have been put up around the school. Sounds like something's going to happen this week. You'd better prepare.]

[ Peregrine remembers food at some point. It's a little funny how in and out of her own head she is. She expects to see other people around, but what she certainly doesn't expect is a live rabbit as well. ]

Oh, no-- I don't fuck with that thing, not after it shot out my phone and the knife that killed me. [She's perched on the counter with Soup, feeding her lettuce and baby carrots. She likes the way the bunny goes crunch crunch crunch--]

Orpheus gave her to me last week. This is Soup. And before you ask, Per, no, I'm not gonna eat her, she's my child, and I would kill everyone here and then myself if anything bad happened to her.

[ Peregrine grimaces because Farrah that's— you can't just say that anymore, but she decides to let it slide. ]

Oh my god- I wasn't, I get it now, alright? I know you're not gonna eat the rabbit. [ ... ] Where did she come from?

[Farrah ignores the grimace, and instead, acts indignant like Per's still gonna eat her new friend.]

He found her in the woods.

[ Her mouth drops open. ]

The woods? But... But there's nothing living out there. It was all fake.

Well. [She pauses, like she's going to explain. But she doesn't have a good explanation. So she just pats her hair back.]

Soup's alive.

I can see that. [ Peregrine keeps staring at the rabbit… she’s eating and everything. ] She’s not…. She’s but gonna disappear or anything?

[ The more she looks at her… ]

She looks just like the fake one I found.

…I really hope not. [Farrah cradles Soup in her arms. She doesn’t want to think about that, if Soup vanishing just like Stew had.]

Yeah. She does. They’re like twins. Orpheus held them beside each other.

[ Peregrine frowns. ]

That’s…definitely weird. But she’s been like a normal rabbit since you got her?

She eats, and breathes, and poops. So. Yeah. Like a normal rabbit, I guess.

[ Peregrine reaches over...to pet Soup. ]

[Soup’s soft, like a normal rabbit, and her little nose twitches as Per reaches for her.]

Yeah. Just like a normal rabbit. I promised Orpheus I’d take good care of her. So…

...So, you're gonna take good care of her.

[ Peregrine runs a gentle hand over Soup's head. ]

There's no doubt about that.
