Week 7

[Last week, on It's Curtains...boy, that sure was a year-long week, huh?

But despite it all, you've gotten through it with less death than there might have been. Spongebob and Farrah both survived their ill-conceived plan; Maya, with the intervention of Janis and Hester, survived her triple murder. Since the failed execution, there has been no sign of the Wizard or of Hester. It seems like you may have gotten away with that cleanly!

When you wake up on Sunday, you remember everything. All the gaps, the missing pieces, entire chunks of time from back home - they're back and neatly fitted where they should be in your heads. Elle, Orpheus, and Eurydice have also been given graves alongside the others in the garden. These ones were filled in for you; after all, you were all pretty occupied over the weekend.

Other than that...it seems like some unusual posters have been put up around the school. Sounds like something's going to happen this week. You'd better prepare.]

[In the afternoon, Angus takes itupon himself to see what the others are up to. Fewer friends means it's easier to keep an eye on all of them. Unfortunately, he cannot determine what Peregrine is doing.]

Do you take pictures as a hobby?

[ She's like.......god, we're on the second floor or something, around the art room. ]

I used to. This...is research.

[Hey, he could take some art therapy.]

What kind? What are you looking for?

What this place actually looks like. [ She snaps another photo of the inside of the art room before moving on to pottery. ] When I developed the photos from the woods and got completely different scenery, I figured it’s probably true of this whole place. I tried to do some last week, but—

More illusion magic... [Of course. The Wizard is rather powerful.] How does it go? Did you check the dungeons yet?

[ She shakes her head. ]

That's my next stop. But before I can tell anything concretely, I've gotta develop the photos, which...can take some time. Especially considering I've got most of the building today.

Then allow me to aid you on your quest. [A fist over his heart. The motion is less energetic than it was seven weeks ago.] Do you need someone to develop them and keep watch as you tour the rest of the building? Someone to carry your tools?

[ She almost chances a smile—but Angus was hurt so incredibly much over the last few days. Sometimes when other people are happy—not happy, able to keep going but not happy—and you're not, seeing that joy can feel like an attack on you personally. The whole my-girlfriend-killed-your-girlfriend thing adds a whole other layer of uncomfortable to it all. ]

I'll probably wanna develop them myself. It can be a bit of a tricky process. But, if you can grab one of the other cameras and get some of the rooms in this wing while I get the roof?

[Peregrine alone is fine. She has Janis, and she has a lot to deal with back home. Capable and dependable, that is what Angus sees in her.

But he doesn't want a reminder of what he lost. He wishes he could move one from Elle and accept his new single status, but sometimes, his heart refuses to burn out.]

That, I can do. [The inside is fine. He doesn't want to go to the roof anymore.]

[ It's because she understands the mourning that she keeps herself together and largely neutral. To lose someone you love so deeply... She understands that. ]

Great. Okay, uhm... Get a picture of anything that looks even a little interesting. The kiln in the pottery room, the...mannequins in the science room... Anything like that. I don't wanna miss anything.
