The dining hall is a way better location for a party (or whatever this is) with its close proximity to the kitchen, and more intimate space- but Heather doesn't want to be anywhere near that place. Not for a while, at least. True to her word, Heather's brought snacks- finger sandwiches, a few bags of chips, and a big pitcher of lemonade. There isn't much else set up, but the piano is still there, should anyone want to play.]

Yes, I think so.

[ I mean, he's 23, not a kid like Hime. ]

But that doesn't mean we can't do everything in our power to try.

Right. Even in a situation where a wish wouldn't have any bad side to it, you can still do things yourself with your friends.

That's right. It's much better to earn these kinds of things, isn't it?

You think so? Magic and things like that -- are they real where you're from?

Well, I've never seen them myself, but I've heard stories. There's a princess in a far off kingdom who had glowing, magical hair.

Magical hair? I've heard of people glowing, but not that. How would it work?

I'm not 100% sure myself. I think it had some kind of healing property? But she cut it, so the magic disappeared.

That sounds like a really inconvenient way to lose your powers.

[trettende]

I agree. It all sounds pretty far-fetched, but it's a fact.

[ He'd remember magic if he'd seen it, haha! ]

I honestly think the management might have transported us here using magic. It's the only way that makes sense.

It could definitely happen. And then put up something to make sure nobody else could follow them in.

Right. Someone set all this up before we got here, and they left. So there must be a way out of here.
