What a night last night was! Dancing under the stars, romance, family...all the things a good school dance should stand for. Even with everyone being sick it could still, overall, be considered a hige success.

But on the subject of the sickness thats spread through the school...when people start to rouse from their dance-fuled exhaustion in the morning all the symptoms seem to be completely gone. Which should be good news but knowing what day it is.

Maybe you should leave your dorms and investigate.]

[ OH GOOD... is the pool set to ice, is it already ice ]

[It sure is!

But if she squints she might notice a tinge of pink-ish red to a very small section of the ice in the middle of the pool.]

[ OH GOOD HER FAVORITE SHAVED ICE FLAVOR, BLOOD

She's going to uh. Make her way out there in some fashion to get a better look. Let's not question exactly how or how utterly graceless she probably is. ]

It's a slippery slidery trip across the ice but Janis does make it without breaking her neck to the spot. It's hard to tell through the cloudiness of the ice but there's for sure a long thin shape down there.]

[ Hm. Alright.

Now here's the question: is the ice red or is there red on the ice? ... Basically are there details she will lose if she tries to get the pool warmed again. ]

[The ice is red, as in the water froze with red in it. But hey, if you're concerned about losing evidence, you do have a way of preserving impermanent things.

Perhaps with some kind of image capturing device. Hmmmm.]

[ oh well she gave up on it after editing footage of the squip made her angry but CAMCORDER TIME, SINCE PROBABLY THERE'S NOT ENOUGH TIME FOR PHOTOS TO DEVELOP....

Anyway, after a quick home movie of the scene she'll get the ice melting - anything else she'll notice before she does so? ]

[Not particularly - but as the ice begins to melt, something that had been suspended in the frozen water begins to drop down to the bottom of the pool. Things are still a little pink and slushy in there, but it looks like a sword.]

[ Oh. Well, uh. She's not leaving this room without that, if it's the sword I suspect it is, so! Anything relevant in adjacent areas while she waits for the exact moment she can change into a swimsuit and dive in for that? ]

[Nope, just that!]

[ Then as soon as she can, Janis is going for it! well, okay.

Could she tell from the shore if it Maya's sword or another sword, because that's going to heavily inform just how Too Early janis jumped into this pool. ]

[Um...well, it definitely is Maya's sword...]

[ Well she's not jumping in while it's still slush, but like. Janis is about to be slightly a shivering wreck by the time she gets out with it! ]

[Slight update here - Janis will see when she's diving that there's actually two pieces of sword down there! The hilt has maybe an inch of blade still attached, and the majority of the rest of the blade is also down there.

Seems like it's missing the very tip, though!]

[ C-COOL.....

She's gonna just. Wrap up both that and herself in towels. ]
