The sky shines differently today than it did yesterday
[Perhaps to the surprise of no one, there is no after party after that trial. Two children were dead. Two children were dead over a simple accident and the Wizard cared more about himself than anyone else. But they won't give up, they can't give up. They had to keep fighting until everything's been set right.
At the Lobby ofrenda later that night, there are six origami pieces accoupling the other memorials. A penguin, a rose, an octopus man, computer, a music note, and the last one are of a boy and girl holding hands. Along with that there is a plate of strawberry cupcakes with blueberry icing and a note that reads:]
There is still hope and love in the world
Never let The Wizard make you think otherwise 💗

"Most of his music was forgotten after his death." [ Orpheus says, quietly, remembering the yearbook. ] Oh. That's -
[ Yeah, he thinks he understands a little of what's going on here. Absently, he tears the page he's holding in half, shaking his head. ]
We'll remember him. I'll ask him to teach me more of his compositions, if he wants to. I don't forget that kind of thing.

Yeah. I’m going to try and learn them, too. … Varian should have learned them with me.

He should have. He played too, right? I think I heard him at the piano, a couple of times.
[ And Orpheus thinks that he should have stopped to listen more, should've dropped in to say hello, should've spent more time with Varian than he did. But thinking that way hurts right now, so he shoves it down and puts it away for later, when he's on his own. ]
How did it go, by the way? What you played for Maestro Salieri. He... he loves you a lot. You know that, right?
[ Orpheus is pretty sure reminding him of Farrah was the only thing that got him to calm down at all, during his attempted death charge at the Wizard. ]

Da——- Salieri liked it a lot. He was… proud of me. Normally, people are the opposite of that. [She sucks a breath of air in again, trying to calm herself.]
I know he does. I love him too.

[ He smiles over at her, melancholy but genuine. ]
I know we haven't talked that much? But you clearly care a lot about the people here, and back home. [ He heard what she said, when she was thinking about what she could use the Wizard's offer of a wish for. ] You're a good person, Farrah. I'm glad we met, despite everything.

You're not so bad yourself. Anyone who Eurydice likes is okay, in my book.

It's not easy to win her over, I'll give you that. [ he says, fondly. Never mind that he managed to do it at lightning speed, somehow. ] I'm glad you think so, though. It's been nice, seeing her open up to people more here.
[ Even if it does make things harder, when they lose people. ]
no subject
Yeah. Everyone here's... really special. And I'm not even like, using special in a bitchy way.

I don't want to speak for her, but she's had a lot of really bad experiences with people in the past. Trust doesn't usually come all that easy to her. But it's different here, despite, um. Having a lot of reasons to be suspicious of each other, on the surface.
[ He frowns a little, before shaking his head and smiling again. ]
I think you're right. The people here are special.
