[it’s cramped in here, and isn’t the best place for a meeting, but when you have to make do, you have to make do. Once everyone’s there, Salieri will pull over a chair that he brought in and situated next to the sink, and use it as a hand hold to stand on it, before lifting a hand for attention]

Everyone, if I might have your attention, please!

[it’s loud enough to get everyone’s attention--louder than he’s spoken (except to yell at Discord lol) in quite a while. Once he has quiet, though, he’ll begin:]

Thank you all for coming. Now, I’m sure we’re all rather disturbed by what the Wizard has attempted to taunt us with this week. However, we cannot give in to fear yet. There is still much of this place to be thoroughly explored, and it would be to our benefit to once again try to organize ourselves and create not only emergency supplies for everyone here, but explore every nook and cranny of this school and outside of it and gather as much information as we can to make our escape.

[ She smirks, because this is a joke that is only funny to her. ]

[ Peregrine isn't quite familiar with honorifics? But she can at least read a mood. At right now it kinda feels like she's been slapped. ]

[ But what the hell does she say? She lets her leave. ]

We must practice our combat skills if we are to defend ourselves against the Wizard during our escape. I, Cassandra, Maya, and Peregrine are combat fighters. We can all teach everyone how to use a weapon properly.

[ She fiddles with the bracelet on her wrist. ]

Okay, but— but do you think there's evidence— do you really think it could be them?

Part of it was carved in pretty deep, so someone really wanted to be heard, too.

I wish I could tell you more, but I only remember the first act of the show and like... have only really had two days to chew on this.

[ She presses her lips tight together. ]

We're not the same person or anything. I'm mostly just a framing device for certain scenes in the show - she's an actual character. Of course she's got stuff I don't.

[ Peregrine, quickly correcting— ] Ohhh, whoooaa, no I do not have like, actual combat experience, I can just shoot a bow and I'm just learning from Cass about swords.

Well I can't think who else it could be! Unless it's a prank by the Wizard, I guess.

Maya has taught me a little, but I want to learn more. [ a beat. then, a little quieter: ] I'm good with a hammer or pickaxe, too, but I don't know if we have any.

[Maya gets as far as the door before she stills. She has to grip it, just a little too tight. If you're close enough, you might just see her knuckles go white against her skin.

She doesn't so much as speak as she does sing.]

[Salieri glances at the Balladeer as he comes over, and there's a palpable relief he feels as he speaks, slipping into music. Good--that's a good song, and he picks up the tune]
