[Last week, Gershwin High School Academy University saw its very first intentional murder! What a milestone! And right after Spongebob's No Murder party, too - that doesn't seem like it bodes very well for anybody's future.

You all wake up this morning with yet another new memory returned to you. You'll also find that the school's external doors have now unlocked. Congratulations! You're free! Unfortunately, you also seem to be entirely in the middle of nowhere. So maybe it's more of a symbolic victory.

Still, you should look around and do some investigation! Maybe you'll find a fun surprise.]

A fake bear in the woods. [Beats real bears, but still.] I'd ask who would even go through all the trouble, but we're currently trapped in a school run by a wizard, so I guess that answers that question.

[ She shakes her head, clueless. ] I don't...understand it. It's all wrong.

The whole thing in general, or just the vending machine?

All of it. I've been trying to think of things rationally since the beginning but I'm still getting used to the magic and the...rest of it.

Yeah. Magic does take time to get used to. And the weirder it is, the harder it gets.

But, uh... It helps to have people around that are also trying to figure things out.

Could you imagine being stuck here, having to do this all by yourself?

[She loves her solitude as much as the next girl, but apparently there was such a thing as too much of it.]

Yeah.

Well... If there's one good thing about all of this, it's that we're all together.

[There's a... slight emptiness in her tone. It's definitely there.]

So we're not alone.

...I hope we can keep being in it together.

[...Hm. Cassandra's hand reaches out and finds Peregrine's shoulder. She's nothing if not understanding in this moment.]

Of course we will. Between everyone here, I don't think staying out of touch is an option. Not if mister "Lord of Chaos" is really as powerful as he claims.
