Week Four
[Last week, Gershwin High School Academy University saw its very first intentional murder! What a milestone! And right after Spongebob's No Murder party, too - that doesn't seem like it bodes very well for anybody's future.
You all wake up this morning with yet another new memory returned to you. You'll also find that the school's external doors have now unlocked. Congratulations! You're free! Unfortunately, you also seem to be entirely in the middle of nowhere. So maybe it's more of a symbolic victory.
Still, you should look around and do some investigation! Maybe you'll find a fun surprise.]

(( Be sure to submit your memory regains and your AC for this week! Hester's office hours and the merch booth also remain available! ))

[Normally, the Balladeer is an early riser. Today, though, he stays in bed for a long while. By the time he gets up and finishes a long, hot shower, everything with Benjamin has already been dealt with. Oh, well.
Upon arriving in the kitchen himself, the Balladeer looks listlessly through the things he could attempt to cook, and probably burn, and ultimately just makes himself a cup of tea. While waiting for the kettle to boil, he squints critically at the menu posted on the wall.]
Oh, is it...Father's Day?
[That's. Weird.
When his tea is done, he takes it to the cafeteria briefly...but then notices someone just walking out the door? Can we do that now? The Balladeer, mug in hand, approaches the door, hesitates, and then pushes it open and walks into the courtyard. He stands there, right in front of the door, for a little while, looking around at the trees and flowers and up at the sky. Out loud, he concludes:]
I just realized that I've literally never been outside before.
[Also weird! Today's a weird and sad day! But at least being outside is sort of interesting. He spends much of the day just wandering around outside. You can find him basically anywhere - standing in the baseball diamond, wandering around in the woods. He probably briefly gets lost there, but eventually ends up in the garden, where he frowns at the benches before approaching the central tree, choosing to sit on the ground with his back to it instead. He'll just be here for a while, taking it all in.]

Oh. Hey.
Wanna help me come up with creative ways for Evan Hansen to die? [She holds up the Death Note.]

The universe decides he no longer has a purpose and therefore unceremoniously wipes him from existence?

I was going for a computer theme—— exploding computers, chain emails gone bad. But that ones good.

[Also, being redundant. The Balladeer has been leaning his head back against the tree to stare up into the branches, but he shifts now to look at Farrah.]
So - you said Evan exists back in your world, too?

It also really pissed me off, because it was all fake bullshit. Acting like people aren’t alone, and like they just...care. So I didn’t pay too much attention to it. Just rolled my eyes and made fun of it.

People care about you. [...] I know what you mean, though. Especially knowing that Connor didn't even know him in the first place - god, I hate to think what happened there. Who even is Evan Hansen?
[Like, where did he come from? Why was he doing that???]

I dunno. Like I said, I kind of—- tried to ignore it because it seemed so fake. I guess it really was.

[They can talk all they want, and write his name in a notebook, but they can't reach Evan Hansen from here, and Connor is still gone.]
I can't believe that - that something like that happened to Connor. Someone should've told his real story.
