[Last week, Gershwin High School Academy University saw its very first intentional murder! What a milestone! And right after Spongebob's No Murder party, too - that doesn't seem like it bodes very well for anybody's future.

You all wake up this morning with yet another new memory returned to you. You'll also find that the school's external doors have now unlocked. Congratulations! You're free! Unfortunately, you also seem to be entirely in the middle of nowhere. So maybe it's more of a symbolic victory.

Rina was heading there because she wanted to look for something and maybe do some cooking but she hears that crash and uh... assumes someone's hurt. ]

The first immediately noticeable thing is a shattered ceramic mug on the floor and an overturned kettle of water that is thankfully still cold water.]

[There's no fat raccoons in sight first and foremost.

But if Rina turns the slight corner around the island counter in the middle of the kitchen she'll find a still form laid out flat and facedown on the floor and before you have to wonder it is not a mannequin.]

She rushes over to the body without a second thought. maybe they just fell?!? ]

[Laid out flat on the kitchen floor is the broad form of Benjamin Barker. There's not any blood or obvious wounds on him at first glance but let me ask this...

How closely are we examining him, Rina?]

[ Not... toooooo closely? She's really hoping he just fell. But she is going to put a hand on his shoulder and shake him a little to try and rouse him and.... look closer??

I am never been more terrified of tagging something back in my life I'm going to murder you both I swear to god. ]

[Immediately upon touching him, Rina will notice that he doesn't feel cool to the touch. In fact, he feels burning hot.

And when she tries to shake him-]

[His face scrunches up and his shoulders tense, and he gives a miserable moan.]

[ As he moans, Rina finds herself sighing with relief. He's alive. But now she's worried he might have a fever or something. ]

Barker-san...!

[ She turns back to LSP ]

Lumpy-san, can you go get someone? [ Preferably some other adults ] He's burning up, we might need some help...!

[Bolting out of the kitchen-]

OH GLOB SOMEONE TRIED TO KILL MISTER BARKER, WE NEED A DOCTOR OR A HEALING WIZARD OR SOMETHING-

[yeah someone'll hear that]

[THAT IS REALLY NOT HARD TO HEAR--Salieri, who's just left the Library and is headed in that direction, sucks in a breath, glances briefly at Discord, and then takes off running down the hallway.

When he spots LSP, he's heading straight for her]

Mademoiselle, what has happened--?

MISTER BARKER- KITCHEN- SICK OR DYING, I DON'T LUMPING KNOW!

[violentenvies]

What--?

[Salieri's head immediately turns towards the kitchen, his heart going to his throat. He swallows, hard, reaching out to set a hand on her shoulder]

Go find some of the other adults, if you would. Quickly.

[and with that, he's booking it to the kitchen, sliding to a stop when he sees both Rina and Benjamin]

Mademoiselle Rina--

[and yep he's coming straight over there, already moving to get down and see what's happened]

What has happened?

[ Well... ]

[Yeah, she's off. Still just kind of screaming for help, but maybe with slightly more purpose? She's covering more ground now, not just running randomly. Maybe.]

[Discord is not far behind, because wherever Salieri goes today, he goes.]

I enjoy how every time we just run towards the screaming. Will we ever learn?

[Well... That sure is screaming. And while Maya is neither a doctor nor a healing wizard, she does have a sword?

So uh. Here she comes.]

Barker-san? What's going on?

[ Hi Maya, Rina's here. ]

I h-heard a crash and when I came to check, Barker-san was on the floor!

H-He's still alive but he's burning hot! I don't think he's doing so well...!!

[LSP took off in the direction of the nurse's office so... Maya's going to either find some papertowels or a dish rag and put some cold water on it. After that, she's going to kneel down and put it over his forehead.]

[As the sound of panicked voices grows around him, Benjamin lets out an anguished howl and writhes away from the worried hands on him, curling into a trembling ball on the tile. His breath is coming in short, ragged pants, and any touch - especially to his back - makes him react as though he's been burnt.

Under his breath, this strong, grown man whimpers:

Please don't- stop- I'm sorry- I didn't do anything-]
