Week Four

[Last week, Gershwin High School Academy University saw its very first intentional murder! What a milestone! And right after Spongebob's No Murder party, too - that doesn't seem like it bodes very well for anybody's future.

You all wake up this morning with yet another new memory returned to you. You'll also find that the school's external doors have now unlocked. Congratulations! You're free! Unfortunately, you also seem to be entirely in the middle of nowhere. So maybe it's more of a symbolic victory.

Still, you should look around and do some investigation! Maybe you'll find a fun surprise.]

Sunday | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday

(( Be sure to submit your memory regains and your AC for this week! Hester's office hours and the merch booth also remain available! ))

Oh yeah! That's Bruiser. He's back in our room right now.

Back in Malibu we'd get a lot of seagulls and raccoons, but that was pretty much it. I did see a sea lion near the beach once! It was super cute.

Oh! I've never seen a sea lion before. I've only really ever been to the ocean once in my life. Isn't it incredible, though? How vast it is, and how small you feel when you're on or in it.

I love the ocean! You get use to it when you live right on the beach, but sometimes I look out and just go "wow", you know?

[ Orpheus nods, enthusiastically. ]

Right! I get a little of that living out in the desert? Where you can just look up at night or out at the horizon and it feels like you can see forever.

[ He strums a simple chord, idly, looking thoughtful. ]

I can only imagine what it's like for people like Prince Angus, who've been to other stars instead of just looking at them. It's hard to imagine, actually seeing how big the universe is for yourself like that.

It's crazy to think about. I've watched stuff about astronauts going into space, but never farther than the moon. And they're, like, trained for years to be able to do it maybe once or twice. Getting to just board a ship and go? That's crazy.

Even thinking about going as far as the moon sounds pretty impossible to me. I guess it makes sense that someone would figure it out eventually, and it does sound like you and a lot of the others are from places... after? When I'm from?

[ Is that how he wants to phrase it, when it doesn't sound like they're from the same timeline to begin with? Well, close enough. ]

But still. Wow. What's the moon like? Did the people who went say?

[Listen, the timeline between their worlds is still a little screwy to Elle, but she does understand that her world is more "technologically advanced" than Orpheus.]

They probably did, but I never really studied that kind of thing. I think one of them might have been allergic to it, actually.

I bet the library would have stuff about it!

Oh. I hope it wasn't too bad? Going all the way to the moon and finding out you're allergic to it sounds terrible. I hope they at least got to explore, or do whatever it was they went there to do.

I'll have to see if I can find something in the library, though! I've never really thought about the moon as a place people could go before, or what it might be like.
