[Last week, Gershwin High School Academy University saw its very first intentional murder! What a milestone! And right after Spongebob's No Murder party, too - that doesn't seem like it bodes very well for anybody's future.

You all wake up this morning with yet another new memory returned to you. You'll also find that the school's external doors have now unlocked. Congratulations! You're free! Unfortunately, you also seem to be entirely in the middle of nowhere. So maybe it's more of a symbolic victory.

Still, you should look around and do some investigation! Maybe you'll find a fun surprise.]

Investigation

[Before the club meeting, Angus is performing his regular routine at the weight room. He has a variety of weights laid on the floor and a decent barbell prepared for himself, but he spends several minutes collecting tools for stretches and for people that can't lift 100 pounds.

While waiting for Eurydice, he warms up, facing the door, watching. Each time it opens, he greets the entrant with:] Morning!

[After a brief break at the meeting, Angus collects his new grappling hook and heads outside to the courtyard. He walks along the perimeter of the school, looking for an ideal spot, and decides on a spot he assumes is close enough to the auditorium. If the Wizard resides anywhere, it should be above that room.]

Wish me luck.

[He swings the end of the rope and throws it up the wall.]

[Elle has elected to stay on the ground, but if anything goes wrong she is here with her basic understanding of first aid!]

You got this!

[mcfife]

[They have mattresses, what can go wrong? The end of the grappler hooks onto something on the roof, and Angus gives it a few good tugs.]

I trust in you.

[And he'll start to go up.]

I trust you too!

[Then quietly, to herself.]

Please don't fall.

[There is nothing to prevent you from doing this! Would you say Angus is pretty good at climbing?]

[mcfife]

[He's got to be good at climbing if he can scale mountains, he should be pretty good and this stuff, even if it's steeper than what he's used to.]

[stagemanagers]

[Well, in that case, you can probably make it up to the roof! Congratulations, you have unlocked the roof garden! Troy and Gabriella not included.]

[mcfife]

[Awesome! But not what Angus was looking for. He walks around the garden looking for an exit or a tower or whatever place an evil wizard would like to rest and plot.]

[stagemanagers]

[Are you kidding? This is the cutest place on Earth! Haven't you seen Can I Have This Dance?]

[mcfife]

[He was hoping to skip to endgame and punch a wizard but if he has to find a good date spot, at least this is better than a corn field.

He leans over the roof of the building.]

There's no sign of the wizard up here! Just a garden!

[whatyouwant]

A garden? Who's taking care of it?

[Elle sizes up the climb. She's never been super in to rock climbing, so even thought it's only a couple of floors, it makes her a little nervous to think about.]

[mcfife]

I don't know! Magic!

[Elle looks like she's going to have a difficult time getting up. Angus slides his legs over the edge and climbs down, slowly.]

Okay. Here. [A moment to catch his breath.] Hold onto me, and I will guide you to the top.

[whatyouwant]

Like on your back? Are you sure?

[Listen, she isn't exactly a big girl, but she's still a full grown adult woman.]

[mcfife]

I'm sure I'm strong enough to hold your weight. [Read into that as you will.] What is one woman compared to throwing around the Hammer of Glory for an entire battle?

[whatyouwant]

If you're sure.

[As she climbs onto Angus' back and wraps her legs around his waist, Elle is very glad she opted for workout clothes instead of the usual pink Longacre skirt.]

Feel okay?

[mcfife]

[Elle is a lot of weight, but on the plus side, it's Elle, and she's completely wrapped around him.

Nice.] I'm good! [Even more motivated than before, he climbs up a second time, now sure what bricks make the best footholds.]

[whatyouwant]

[Elle holds on as tight as she can without hurting Angus. It's not like she's afraid of heights, but piggybacking up a wall is enough to make her more than a little nervous.

Still, she trusts Angus. If he says he can do it, then he can.

She's just not going to look down.

When they get to the top Elle dismounts as gracefully as possible.]

Wow, this is beautiful.

Morning.

[ Eurydice surveys the available weights. Boy, lots of these look heavy. Eurydice stands at 5'2" and does not have a ton of meat on her bones, but she's gonna try her best!! ]

Where should I start?

[mcfife]

We stretch first. [He leans from side to side, holding his arms above his head.] Your muscles must be smooth and prepared before they do any hard work.

[And stops.]

We start with the neck and shoulders, then onto our arms. Just follow my lead!

[howtheworldwas]

[ okay, that makes sense. eurydice does what he does. it feels...kind of nice, actually. ]

Do you do this every day?

[mcfife]

I have to, if I want to keep in good shape.

[He moves into torso stretches.]

I can skip some days once it a while. This isn't one of those times.

...Besides, it just feels good in the morning.

[howtheworldwas]

[ she follows along. ]

What were you keeping in shape for, before this?

[mcfife]

Warrior stuff, you know, defending the kingdom in case of invasions. Flying through space with a hammer is no easy feat.

[howtheworldwas]

You can fly? No way. You're not a god, right?

[ oh shit oh shit but what if he is?? ]

[mcfife]

[A small laugh.] Oh, not on my own. I need the Legendary Enchanted Jetpack for that.

...Which hasn't been working at all since I got it from the concessions stand.
