[Last week, Gershwin High School Academy University saw its very first intentional murder! What a milestone! And right after Spongebob's No Murder party, too - that doesn't seem like it bodes very well for anybody's future.

You all wake up this morning with yet another new memory returned to you. You'll also find that the school's external doors have now unlocked. Congratulations! You're free! Unfortunately, you also seem to be entirely in the middle of nowhere. So maybe it's more of a symbolic victory.

Still, you should look around and do some investigation! Maybe you'll find a fun surprise.]

[He casually moves to gently push her sword away. For all that he's all carefree and mocking as usual, there's absolutely no bite to it whatsoever. If anything, he looks more concerned.]

[With her sword free, Maya's able to take a step back. She looks down at the blade, to the mannequin, and then to Discord.]

What do you propose I do instead?

[disharmonizes]

I'd start with taking a deep breath first, perhaps. If you really want my opinion, anyway.

[Like he makes it possible to opt out of hearing his opinion.]

Don't tell anyone that I was advocating for unity here, of course, but it does seem like the way to go.

That is what I am trying to put right. Seisho is nothing without Nana. If I did anything, it would be to put things right.

You're thinking ahead too much. And too far back, it's actually impressive. By focusing on that, you'll lose the unity here.

...Besides, your missing friend problem... I'm sure we can find a solution to that together.

[mayavericks]

[Maya's lips press into a thin, almost angry line.]

[Look he might be new to the whole friendship thing but he's pretty sure he knows MOSTLY how this works.]

[She crosses her arms over her chest and looks away. Maybe she's a little flustered? What are friends!]

Well, if there's no objections then, that works out well. So, as your friend, I'm simply... expressing concern, which is a new thing for me, I'll admit.

[mayavericks]

If it... puts your mind at ease, I have not made any plans at this point.

[At this point.]

[disharmonizes]

See, when you say it that way, it just comes across as worryingly specific. You know that, right?

[mayavericks]

I may be many things, but I am not a liar. And I will not make a promise I do not know that I can keep.

[disharmonizes]

I'd settle for an "I'll do my best" at this point, to be honest. My standards for this aren't especially high.

But then, you never do anything less than your best, hm?

[mayavericks]

"Doing my best" is a dangerous request, when you keep it that vague.

[Her laugh is just a little better.]

I could simply do my best to kill someone and get away with it, you know?

[disharmonizes]

I'm afraid it will be rather obvious it was you, actually.

[At that, Maya can only huff.]

Perhaps if I do it, I'll make it as chaotic as possible. Throw them off of my trail.
