His heart twisted into knots at the horrible realization that that could have been the last thing he ever told Patrick. He does get up, eventually, and he sees that they're able to go outside now. Instead of making a break for it or attempting to alert the others, Spongebob just... lays at the center of the courtyard, staring at the sky His expression is unusually quiet and sad.
