[Last week, Gershwin High School Academy University saw its very first intentional murder! What a milestone! And right after Spongebob's No Murder party, too - that doesn't seem like it bodes very well for anybody's future.

You all wake up this morning with yet another new memory returned to you. You'll also find that the school's external doors have now unlocked. Congratulations! You're free! Unfortunately, you also seem to be entirely in the middle of nowhere. So maybe it's more of a symbolic victory.

Still, you should look around and do some investigation! Maybe you'll find a fun surprise.]

[Varian's unfairly leaving out some details, here. Like how Rapunzel was alone, struggling to keep her kingdom in one piece during a devestating blizzard. Her parents missing...

But he's too bitter to provide it just now. Too upset at the memory too fresh.]

It kinda...reminded me how not all leaders have everyone's best interests at heart. Those living on the fringes are fine to overlook.

[ It's the loudest she's ever gotten in her entire life and definitely the loudest she's ever gotten here. Which just shows what a monster you are Wizard!! ]

[Slowly she goes to lightly pet the little guy's head. If he seems hesitant or unwilling, she'll pull back. No need to stress him out more than he already was coming out of the machine!]

Broadhurst

[Maya may notice, on one of the few moments where she’s left unattended, that Farrah keeps coming into Broadhurst. Then leaving. Then coming back. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

It’s clear that she’s bringing all of her shit into Broadhurst, just. Moving in officially, without permission. Right now, she’s struggling to bring her mattress, which had briefly been returned back to Longacre, in through the door.]

Mmm-hmm. Cheaper that way. I knew a guy who used to sell it. Did pretty well for himself.

[ gods, she hasn't thought about him in years. she tends not to dwell on the places she's been after she leaves them. ]

It's honestly not that much different than what you did with the mead, except. You know. Worse.

[Cassandra pauses, letting her silence rest on the benches before them.]

...But maybe there are people we thought we could trust, but can't.

[Ruddiger takes the pie crust reverently, like he's been handed a precious jewel. Thank you for this gift, kind sir.

Varian snorts, ruffling the raccoon's ears because why are you so fat.]

Exactly. I don't mind letting Ruddiger run around in the woods a little, at least...mostly because I know he'll come back.

[He just needs some trees to climb, let him live.]

[LSP definitely isn't the only person in here, pumping iron to vent some of her frustrations at the world. She got her own uniform on - not nearly as gaudily colorful as LSP's - and is just about to settle onto her own weight bench. But first, a moment to sit and watch LSP lift far more than Cassandra was anticipating.

She's... honestly kind of floored by it.]

Do you... do this sort of thing regularly?

[Farrah near-cursing is unsurprising. Expected, even.

But when Rina suddenly blurts out a curse in that sweet little voice of hers?

Varian stiffens and looks up with actual alarm, his eyes still glassy but the anger that was darkening his features somewhat dissipating in the wake of it. Not only was that a curse, it was loud, and...

...

He chuckles. It's heavy sounding and not really happy at all- it's a more disbelieving sound than anything- but...it's there. It's better than screaming, or physical violence at any rate.

Varian leans in and hugs the two a little closer. Not harder, just...closer.]

Y-yeah...he fucking sucks.

[ ......well. that's something. eurydice just nods, like she's made up her mind about something, and turns her attention back to the body. ]

[Quite the opposite, really! The little guy completely relaxes at the touch, sighing happily and flopping over in Elsa's hands.]

He did, yes. He's very special; like me, he can tap into the power of an element. His is fire, just like mine is snow and ice.

Kitchen

[Salieri was heading to the kitchen for some tea, though he pauses when he spots Maya there...then immediately looks a little fondly amused at what she's making]

Hard at work, I see.

[Farrah has to loosen her grip then, because she’s laughing too hard. She collapses backwards on the ground laughing hysterically—- even snorting a few times.

There may be tears brimming in her eyes, but at least they’re tears of laughter.]

Mmm, it is isn't it? Ayumu-san is a lot like... a pretty fairy. Or a bunny. She's shy like me but in a different way? So it's nice to hear her sing a song like this.

Actually, now that I think about it... if it weren't for Ayumu-san I might not have even heard about school idols. I heard about it for the first time when she and her friend Yu-san were looking for the club and asked me if I knew where it was.

[Yes, it's true. She needs comfort, but... She can't let herself have it now, can she? Even with all the worry on Elsa's face, the dread she's been carrying forces her eyes open and pushes her back, away from Elsa's hands. All until her back finds the tree she'd come to a stop beneath.]

It's the dreams. The ones we've been having every week.

[It would seem that memories are very important right now.]

I didn't know why last week, but... now... I understand why I betrayed my friends.

[Farrah invites herself over, to perch on the side of Cass’ bed, listening as intently as she can. Look, she’s not always the best emotional support, and sometimes she can be rude, but it’s never on purpose. She cares!]

Whoa. That’s... rough. A lot.

Adults suck, sometimes. They think they’re protecting you, but...

[Sometime before the day is out, Maya tacks a note onto this.]

This may have been premeditated.
Farrah and I discovered a mannequin buried in attire much like the Balladeer's.
The Wizard may have always wanted him dead.

[ Wow, that was a very touching and heartfelt moment! But the Balladeer's body is still here, and the Wizard still sucks, so after Farrah leaves, Eurydice is just going to butt in and whisper: ]

We need to get him out of here. Now.

[ Right around this time, Eurydice interrogates the Wizard about what he's doing with the bodies, and she does not like what she finds out! Once that's done, she nods, squeezes Orpheus's hand, and goes to talk to the two strongest dudes here. ]

[That's... A good point. A difficult point to refute. It gets Cassandra thinking, clearly she still wants to argue.]

But just because it's hard doesn't mean we shouldn't make the attempt. Sure, the Wizard can try and stop us, but we could all die here if we don't even try! We just need to be prepared and careful.

...It doesn't really matter if some of us don't get home anyway.

[Salieri turns, glancing at Eurydice at that--she's right, of course. And he sniffs, once, wiping at his cheeks with the cuff of his sleeve, before he nods]

Just tell us what to do.

Football Field

[About that...there was a hole here. It's gone now.

The area where it was is covered in grass now, like nothing was ever here to begin with. The only indication that this isn't true is a large white rock placed in the area, surrounded by several bushes.]

My whole life's already been pooped on as it is. What's another mess I have to deal with?

[But she will try and shoo the chicks off of her. They seem awfully comfortable where they are.]

[Farrah finally hops over the little run that the goat’s in, out of breath, still giggling like a maniac. She shakes her braids out, and rubs at her neck.]

I hope so. I love her. She’s a little naughty, but she just wants to have fun.
