[The performers have been in the opera house for nearly two weeks now. Overall, despite the captivity, the experience has been a mellow one even with the introduction of the motive. Peaceful almost.

It's 7 am Friday morning. As everyone starts to putter out of their dressing rooms and begin the day, something feels different. A certain heaviness in the air, a sense of dread...oh, and then there's the metallic smell of blood coming from the hallway.

[javert, too, is interested in the body i mean for some fairly obvious reasons here. he stands back while astarte is checking but when he sees the wound of the neck he moves forward to examine it with her. she's probably got this with the fatal wound thing, but if she doesn't she's got an inspector here who is definitely familiar with wounds.]

A pretty nasty cut, that is. It could be the fatal cut. But. it could be a ruse. She knows that. So now to see. Did it cut the cartoid or jugular? That would have absolutely killed him within moments. And, does it seem like the blood all over him originated from there?]

[Actually? If you know so much about this, you'll be able to tell that this cut reached neither. It looks ugly, and the blood from it has clearly seeped down his front to mingle with the blood from all the chest wounds, but on its own it probably wouldn't have even been fatal.]

[This personality being pretty much Stabby Pierce-The-Heavens-With-My-Sord McStabface, she'd be insulted if someone ended up trying to put it past her (her! The one whose sword was made for--!!) that the neck cut was the death blow. If she wasn't so bemused.

She turns to see the Inspector, the very un-Astarte smirk on her face.]

This neck wound isn't what killed him.

[May as well check that right hand wound now. Anything unusual about that?]

[Unlike the chest and face, the hand does not have a stab wound. Instead, there's a deep gash down the middle of his palm.]

[A gash. She picks the hand up to examine it. Aside from the fact it is a gash, and not just a stab wound, what else stands out...could it have conceivably been made by a stabbing implement of some kind, for example? Because. Sharp things. Woo hoo.]

[Is the gash deep enough to potentially sever arteries?]

[It's pretty deep, but not quite that bad.

This has nothing to do with the mods not knowing there were arteries in the hand to begin with.]

[Nah, it's cool, Jerkface Le Poophead just has the experience of those kinds of stabby stabs to know that stuff. Usually because she did it, but anyways.

Nevertheless, amusing wounds of death aside she's gonna give the body one more once-over. Anything else she should look for?]
