WEEK 2
[From the day you arrived on the planet, and blinking, stepped into the sun. There's more to see than can ever be seen, and more to do than can ever be done. Yet, still, the whole thing seems...monotonous. Surely there must be some excitement, some showmanship, some sort of plot twist that could keep this show moving onward?

[Valjean is not one to let good food go to waste, but...he peers suspiciously at the pie.]

They just...passed it out to you? Without a word?

[It's been long enough now that Valjean is forming some habits around this place. The thought is concerned, but what can you do?

He's awake early in the morning, as is his custom, and anyone up and about right around seven will find him in the dining room, evidently at prayer before that cross he set up. It does make him feel better, stopping there before he begins his day in yet another jail. At least one thing remains the same, from Paris to wherever they are.

It doesn't take long for him to be satisfied, and afterwards he retires to the kitchen for breakfast. He's becoming more adventerous with the new kitchen technology - today, he's apparently decided to make eggs.

A lot of eggs. There's a lot of people here, aren't there? And he is awake first.

There's not a lot to fill the days. Anyone passing through the east wing in the afternoon will find Valjean lingering in the hallway. He's not going anywhere, just pacing up and down. For some reason, he seems especially interested in the walls in this area.]

Natto...I can help.

You mean they're actually just making pie in there? That's kind of creepy if you ask me.

If Yuuko were here, she'd say the feelings you put into your cooking are more important.

Kind of like the washer. You put a load in and there are settings, I think.

Then of course we're starting from the same place with not knowing how to wash our clothes!

Darla looks her up and down before shoving another spoonful in her mouth.]

And I...assume it dries things.

[Fascinating. Raoul takes one of his damper shirts and looks over at the dryers.] Should we test it?

I think so too, but...[He makes a gesture to it, which is also sort of a shrug.] It's not as if I can just give it back. I have no more coins.

I guess so. I haven't really used this either before now, but it worked okay when I tried it.

No. I just put on what felt comfortable.

I wonder if everything in there is weird. Can I try? I found some coins.

I...honestly do not know what to do with it, besides the obvious options.

But that's the same thing... Fashion is important.

Yuuko knows everything there is to know about food! I think. Either way, food is her most important thing, and she says it's because sharing it with people gives everyone happiness.
