[From the day you arrived on the planet, and blinking, stepped into the sun. There's more to see than can ever be seen, and more to do than can ever be done. Yet, still, the whole thing seems...monotonous. Surely there must be some excitement, some showmanship, some sort of plot twist that could keep this show moving onward?

I'm not certain. It might be for a masquerade, perhaps - it is simple, but quite elegant. Though, there seems to be...[He takes a closer look.] Quite a bit...of considerable wear.

These buttons with the numbers are used to tell it how long to cook for. It sounds an alarm when it is finished, like a kettle - I think you do not even need to watch it. [That's the logical conclusion, but he's been keeping an eye on the microwave when he's using it anyway, on the offchance it catches fire or something]

Some relic of the days when this was a true opera house, no doubt. They're likely just gathering up old debris from the rest of the building and selling it to us. [Later in the day, Hime will be searching the ballroom for something, because it's so big, there's got to be a secret in there, right? Not that she actually knows how to search for anything without the Detective PreCard. So there's a lot of randomly stepping on tiles or staring into the piano.]

[Raoul picks up his meat pie and stands.]

A few shouldn't be amiss. They have a wonderful scent, and if that rubs off on the clothes, that should make them much more enjoyable to wear.

[It really is - he's had this crash course with Astarte - but that doesn't make granting wishes any more a thing that can happen.]

That is what I am gathering, though...I cannot fathom why, unless the management likes to watch folks like me bumble around the micro-wave.

It probably amuses them to give us tidbits they have no need for. The very least we can do is glean some sort of enjoyment out of them.

I hope this works... Uh, the delicates setting maybe? I don't want to wreck anything.

Only - [he says however long you heat a hot pocket for, like a minute or two? I'm not googling that we all know it's not that long. Anyway, Valjean types in the time and starts the microwave.]

It spins it around, too - to cook more evenly, no doubt.

[What? Oh my God, no, that's terrible - why would no one ask? Don't tell Raoul that, his heart would break because asking about the welfare of women and children is only proper.]

I am sorry to hear that. That must have meant...when you were finally on parole, you were all alone.

[Yeah I think it's like two minutes or so depending on the type.

Raoul kneels down to watch it, face perhaps a little too close, intrigued by the dim light and the spinning.]

Interesting...no doubt it needs to spin, in order to make up for its lack of power compared to an oven or a stove.

[Someone should show these two popcorn.]

And then, there should be...a button or a switch, like the washer...

[He finds the button, presses it, and - whoa! You can hear it hum to life and the clothes tumbling in there!]

Ah! We've done it!

Okay! I knew this couldn't be that hard if people do it so often.

[That is the gaudiest thing Raoul has ever seen. Chances of it belonging to a prostitute are high, but he won't say that in front of a young lady.]

Do you suppose we should leave them for him as well? I doubt he has a use for them, but I don't know who here would.]
