WEEK 2
[From the day you arrived on the planet, and blinking, stepped into the sun. There's more to see than can ever be seen, and more to do than can ever be done. Yet, still, the whole thing seems...monotonous. Surely there must be some excitement, some showmanship, some sort of plot twist that could keep this show moving onward?

With the management watching and listening to everything we say, we could say anything and have it be taken out of context. They probably find all this discord amusing.

There's no reason to think they wouldn't. It's all part of the "show" for them.

Besides, even if you did say something, it's not the end of the world. Unless everyone else here thinks they can't withstand a little temptation? If anyone murders because something shiny was dangled in front of their face, we can judge them for it then.

[So apparently Inspector Javert felt the need to announce Valjean's convict status and crimes to everyone via song this morning!

Despite that happening, Valjean is hardly making himself scarce afterwards. He doesn't exactly linger to take questions, but he's following his ordinary habits. You can probably find him in the lobby, where he takes one of the chairs and spends some time writing something on some paper from storage.]

[ Hans is just as disappointed as you, bro. ]

We can't forget he's working with the management. Ultimately, he does whatever they tell him to.

[Hime comes back out eventually, shallows hard, and wanders somewhere in bread dad's general direction.]

So, um, that's why he's so mad?

I'll bet they thought all of us milling around was "boring."

Admittedly, I've been talking to the Balladeer to ask for convenient things. Playing cards, champagne, things like that.

[ But I mean, can you blame a guy for kissing up to the guy in charge? ]

This "wish" idea feels like a cheap attempt at catching our attention, sparking some sort of incident to keep their "show" going. If anyone falls for this trick, I'd be sorely disappointed.

[The..."announcement", for lack of a better word, had shaken Raoul deeply. He had retreated back to his room for some time, and, shockingly, read the cast pamphlet, cover-to-cover. As much as it made him uncomfortable to do so, the scene today was proof that perhaps he should arm himself with a bit more information than just the workings of the micro-wave and electric ice box.

When he emerges he heads for the lobby, and who does he see there but Valjean. He pauses, unsure if he should disturb the other man, but his mind is full of questions and words: redemption, honesty, humility, compassion. The ability to change.

Surely...these things outweigh any sins Javert has convicted him of, yes? So he approaches.]

Monsieur Valjean. Good day, sir.

If they want to start an incident, you'd think they'd go after us. Offering us something instead of taking something away's an interesting choice.

[Again, not really passing judgement on it, just...it's Interesting.]

[The Pirate King listens to all of that silently and he watches for a moment as everyone promptly loses their minds. This is a little above his paygrade but you know what—]

Everyone, listen!

[He raises his voice and it's uh. Really loud. He's a pretty loud person to begin with, but yikes.]

Panicking, blaming others, and bickering will not solve anything! Do you not see that this is precisely the sort of drama our captors want from us? They want an interesting show, do they not? To continue like this is to play directly into their hands, to do exactly as they want us to do! So, I ask you now: Will you continue like this or will you settle down a bit and try to discuss this rationally?
